Posts from A program for determining luck/morality in Heroes 3!
No one wants to be a cheater. It's shameful.
In my experience, I've had to catch players who were cheating. :(
But it's encouraging that the vast majority of players play fairly, and for them, the main thing is not winning but participating and playing well. :)
I meant the heroes that are called Extra 1-7 in the excavator. Is it possible to add them offline, or even for online???
By the way, what are those two little creatures? I've never come across them in any campaign.![]()
And if my 3-slot speed and the opponent's 2-slot speed are equal, does it mean the enemy will always go first?!
Example 2: Phoenixes get morale and they say wait; then the other combatants, also saying wait, will force the phoenixes to move forward.
Example 3: Suppose the phoenix died, then our archangels will have the first turn, followed by both of the opponent's stacks, and in the next battle round, the opponent's first archangels will move, then ours, and then the opponent's second stack!
and also if for example your speed is increased (by an artifact or spell) to 15, but the enemy has a base speed of 15, then he will move sooner
2Senator: No one wants to be a cheater. It's shameful. Besides, even the most skilled cheater won't account for everything...
The point is different. If the battle is difficult, but theoretically winnable, then considering the "military tricks," it's not necessarily worth spending 1-2 hours on such a battle. This is what confuses me in offline mode.

Regarding the animation...
We probably misunderstood each other. "Thundercloud and lightning" is the animation for failure in the second Heroes game, but in the third, there is simply no procedure that implements failure. The image would probably be exactly the same as that of the spell with the same name.

And thank you very much for the information about the database! Although we figured out a lot of this logically, including the formula, which was predictable! Now I am much more certain about many things!!! And let some others feel the moral sting :D
2Andrey44_44I'd also like to add that it is practically possible to create a program that reads the R value from the RAM and predicts the remaining value (if the animation speed is set to the minimum, the rate of change of R is not very high). For example, when the remaining value meets the condition for morale to drop, a green "morale indicator" lights up, and the player simply clicks the mouse. I have no doubt that he will be able to do this. Therefore, it is quite possible to achieve a morale drop (and possibly luck) for each of your units without changing the game's structure. There is something to think about...
:smile28: [M] "Я и моя тень" - "I am and my shadow" :smile28:
:smile16:
And if you then use such a program in online play... you will inevitably be suspected of cheating... IMHO.
Sincerely, K0Lb@zzeR.
Of course, if you create such a program, skills like luck and morale will become almost unnecessary, but it's still worth writing it.
In short, about luck and negative morale...
As you know, luck is calculated before the unit's attack, the condition remains the same. But the condition for negative morale is slightly different: mod(R, 12) + 1 < -m (m < 0). From this, it is clear that negative morale will occur twice as often as positive morale (with equal morale units).
Of course, if such a program is created, skills like luck and morale will become almost unnecessary, but it's still worth writing it.
In short, with a neutral setting, is it possible to get luck/morale bonuses?
If there is no luck or morale skill, it will be neutral, or +1 morale (if the troops are from the same city). Is it possible to achieve a positive morale and luck result using a program?
In short, if it's neutral, is it possible to get luck/morale?
+1 morale will be sufficient (higher morale simply increases the "click window").
But I actually have a question for Dirty.
Recently, I was wondering - who and why pays the winners? On NR, it seems like they even chip in, but here, participation is free and completely voluntary (thankfully) :) So, Dirty_Player, are you doing all this for the common good? I understand it's a delicate question, but could you explain?!

Regarding the program that detects cheating! Since the idea has already matured, it is simply necessary to write it! Sooner or later, someone will write it anyway!
In my opinion, creating a program that predicts the outcome of morale is close to cheating!
But using it – I don't even know, most likely if it is written, they will include it in the general rules or the organizers of the tournaments will decide.
