to the heart? ahahahaha... stop ruining the comedy... this argument is frankly annoying, and it won't lead to anything... let's just leave everything as it is.
Есть свет и тьма, Добро и зло, Есть сила и власть, И много всего Но знай ты одно, Что все это чушь, И лишь без любви Не проживешь ты и дня..
Playing as elves is really fun:smile54:. They: 1. Have many cool archers. 2. Druids have great spells. 3. Elves are vengeful. 4. Fairies summon "Hornet Swarm". 5. Their dragons are very strong.
Basically, the point is that the Sylvan faction is far from the strongest, but that only adds to the fun of playing them. Winning easily with a lot of mistakes isn't my thing; I like challenging games. The Sylvan faction doesn't forgive mistakes at the beginning, and later on, you need to build your city strategically and defeat neutral creatures with minimal losses. Overall, playing as Sylvan is quite difficult, but also very interesting. Everything written above is just my opinion.
P.S. Wingael with 1% is the optimal option because with 2%, he's really overpowered, and with 0.5%, he's useless. So, let them finally leave him alone and focus on much more overpowered heroes, and let someone balance the factions properly. Because it really feels like there's a conspiracy against the Sylvan faction; every time, they cut something, and if they add something in one place, they cut it back in another. Let's just ban all the playable heroes for the Sylvan faction and increase the amount of wood needed to build the city again, so that the 3rd upgrade is only available on the 2nd week. Sorry - I just had to vent.
I can upload replays to the appropriate thread, showing how on the 2nd week, Krag kills 83 Acid Hydras and 50 Ancient Ents. Oh, and 20 Death Knights go down too...
Of course, such things should be posted, and it would be even better to create a separate thread. So that there is a brief description of how it happened and what the result was.
I apologize in advance, but...
Damn... I'm horrified. There's so much negativity on the forums. You know, you can also say nasty things about the other factions. Be proud of your factions, and if you start "smearing" them with negativity, how will it feel? (please don't think I'm comparing this to real life)
If you don't like it, don't play.
Regarding strength, based on my experience playing as Sylvan, it seems that people don't particularly enjoy playing against them.
I wouldn't say that the Elves are that disadvantaged either :)))
Since they have a lot of perks related to luck, their racial skill is, you know, just as lucky :)) (and if you consider racial skills without castles, then the Avenger and Master of Artifacts are the worst, while Inferno and Orcs have the best).
And the Avenger can wipe out an army (if 2-3 matches occur), and let the Orc specialize in Centaurs; they'll get their turn.
That's why it's all about luck; if there are 4 matches, the game becomes uninteresting.
So, let the Elf think about whether to search for sworn enemies or go into battle.
In general, in a single-player game, of all the Elven problems, I only experienced a shortage of wood :( Humans at least have some choice; if there's no stone, they can build something else for now, but Elves are too dependent on wood.

I apologize in advance, but..... Oh my god.....I'm horrified. So much negativity on the forums. You know....,
This isn't negativity; it's just facts and statistics.
If there is similar data (regarding illogicality and inconsistencies) for other factions, let's discuss it in the relevant threads.
We noticed in the Necromancer thread about that surprisingly incomprehensible thing like empathy in Necromancers :D
As a versatile player, I'm very interested in knowing the internal mechanics of the game, especially when everything is explained so clearly
Are Sylvan Elves being unfairly criticized? ...sorry, maybe I missed something and don't know...but give a specific example of what's wrong with them.

I apologize in advance, but... Damn... I'm horrified. So much negativity on the forums. With respect (and anger), shaddar.
Shaddar, you know me, right? And you understand that I don't write nonsense? There's no negativity here, just facts. And facts are a concrete thing. They just don't like our Elves in Nival, and that's it... And that's how it is... I myself enjoy playing as the Sylvan faction. And the gameplay is just awful. It's not comparable to my favorite Dungeon faction at all. It's not even close. And what? Is stating facts the same as spreading negativity?
Winning easily with a lot of mistakes isn't my style; I prefer challenging games. The game doesn't forgive mistakes at the beginning when playing as the Stronghold, and later on, you need to build your city strategically and defeat neutral creatures with minimal losses. Overall, playing as the Stronghold is quite challenging, but also very interesting.

So, you prefer the gameplay style of the Elves, and it's fundamentally different from playing as the Dark Elves. There, the main strength is the offensive magic of the Warlock; here, it's the initiative army. To each their own.
Please excuse me in advance for going off-topic. 2 Mdance Yes, I know you, I know you're a good person and an excellent player, and I respect your opinions, but I couldn't help myself when I read about the so-called "anti-elf conspiracy"... The fact is the fact, I'm not arguing. Yes, Sylvan has flaws and shortcomings, but all other factions have them too. Sylvan isn't popular on Nival, but that doesn't mean Sylvan isn't liked here. Sylvan, as you know (probably), is my dominant faction, and I just felt bad that they were spoken about like that, although it makes me want to play them even more, to prove that even with these shortcomings, the faction is very strong and generates a lot of interest in playing it. And in general, Snowball is right, "to each their own," let's drop this topic to avoid possible arguments and scandals. Let everyone draw their own conclusions.

Well, I actually understand the battle tactics for the Elven faction. It's just that the starting conditions for the Elven faction and the Inferno faction are terrible. The Orcs are laughing... It's frustrating... :( By the way, they made a mod to speed up the Elven faction's start. Dryads get a Hive with a 10% bonus on the stat scale. It's not overpowered, but it provides a noticeable boost...

The question is very debatable. IMHO It's not so much about the starting skills, but about the imbalance of other factions and their heroes.

an original approach :) in principle, you can reason like this: all factions are imbalanced, along with their heroes, except for the Elves. only the Elves are normal... but even if they are the only ones, it's a minor detail, isn't it? :)

it's a matter of perspective, I understand...
Exactly, they are the only ones like that, and that is a very attractive feature for them. The harmony of the Elven faction provides expanded gameplay opportunities against any race and under any conditions.
The imbalance of races can manifest not only due to heroes, but also due to racial abilities and the unique characteristics of each race. For example, it is easy to play fast games with a very popular race like Dungeon, but late-game can be quite problematic for them, and so on.
