Since they have a lot of perks related to luck, their racial skill is, you know, just as lucky :)) (and if you consider racial skills without castles, then the Avenger and Master of Artifacts are the worst, while Inferno and Orcs have the best).
And the Avenger can wipe out an army (if 2-3 matches occur), and let the Orc specialize in Centaurs; they'll get their turn.
That's why it's all about luck; if there are 4 matches, the game becomes uninteresting.
So, let the Elf think about whether to search for sworn enemies or go into battle.
In general, in a single-player game, of all the Elven problems, I only experienced a shortage of wood :( Humans at least have some choice; if there's no stone, they can build something else for now, but Elves are too dependent on wood.

I apologize in advance, but.....
Oh my god.....I'm horrified. So much negativity on the forums. You know....,
This isn't negativity; it's just facts and statistics.
If there is similar data (regarding illogicality and inconsistencies) for other factions, let's discuss it in the relevant threads.
We noticed in the Necromancer thread about that surprisingly incomprehensible thing like empathy in Necromancers :D
As a versatile player, I'm very interested in knowing the internal mechanics of the game, especially when everything is explained so clearly
