I conducted a thorough analysis of the last three posts and decided that it was time to express my gratitude for the congratulations and kind words.
Ivan, once again, I give you a firm handshake and pat you on the right shoulder – keep up the good work!!!
See you at the tournaments, friends…
I disagree with Kamikaze's "official ranking for the 'Time of Change' tournament," regarding HOMM3: the excavated Grail should be taken into account. I didn't dig for it myself at first (I just didn't have time: I was playing the quest, took Silverstream, and the computer usually claimed the Grail before me), but then I finally managed to do it, just when the red player was already sitting at the designated spot with a shovel ready. I'm not claiming to be in the top ranks, but the fact that someone who finished just 2 days earlier and didn't excavate the Grail has more points than me definitely bothers me.
I apologize... I messed up the Grail thing, and I thought Vanechka just posted a list of people who submitted saves... I'll come up with something now.
Please register me for this tournament! I love OFFLINE games!!!
Good day.
You can sign up for the [HMM III OFF TOURNAMENT] "Race for Leader" now. The first mini-tournament (1-4) is currently underway and will end on February 27th, so you still have time to submit your application and participate.
Before this version, I used to play the battle this way, saving all the lizards, 11 gorgons, and 15 wyverns. So, “the devil isn’t as scary as his ‘little one’.;)
Dmitry, I wanted to ask, is it worth not using Slow on the first turn, but instead using Stone Skin? And then use Slow on the second turn. Maybe there was a way to win with fewer losses?

Heh... I managed to overcome the garrison, but the losses were greater. =) All the lizards and 4 Wyverns remained. =) And that's it. =D =) Yes, I had to rack my brains. =)
Dmitry, I wanted to ask, is it worth not using Slow at the first turn, but instead using Stone Skin? And then use Slow on the second turn. Could it have been possible to win with fewer losses?
I tried it – the following inconveniences arose: 1. The Ghost Dragons remain untouched and are a formidable flying force. 2. Further possibilities appear only if Paralysis is guaranteed to work on the Ghost Dragons, Knights, and Vampires. Otherwise, the remaining non-paralyzed group will interfere with the Lizards in the early 4th round when they attack the Ghost Dragons, and therefore the Lizards will have to speed up and run in the 3rd round. And this, in addition to everything, leads to extra losses from the Liches due to the uncast defensive spell. Well, and with this scenario, the Gorgons will most likely die under the Ghost Dragons and Knights or Vampires. And, after all, triple Paralysis, combined with other coincidences, is not such a frequent occurrence. I note that the initial battle option (with double Paralysis) was also quite viable. 3. As a result, you have to run around the battlefield from 2 flying groups (any of them is deadly) and Knights with Skeletons, which, with the Lizards' accelerated speed of 8 units, is most likely impossible. 4. Regarding coincidences. In my last battle, after killing the Liches, none of the remaining groups (Lizards, Gorgons, Wyverns) had either morale or luck trigger even once!!!!! And that's more than 10 rounds. Therefore, the simpler, the better. 5. "The best is the enemy of the good." I stopped trying to minimize losses after the first battle (triple Paralysis happened to work out during a final playthrough – it would have been a sin not to take advantage of it). Time is precious, and besides, further development of events was possible even with this scenario, and the "extra" troops can't be gotten rid of anyway – there are plenty of Free Guilds on the map.
I have two questions regarding turn management:confused: : Dear DmitriyAS: On what day did you excavate the Grail, and how did you manage to visit all the obelisks???
Dear Dirty Player: How did you manage to gather ten pieces of wood (35-11-0), build a boat (26-36-0), and still not be disqualified from the game for not having a castle???
P.S. If you don't answer nicely:mad: - I'll accuse you of cheating;) ; then I'll have to write down the entire walkthrough.
Dear Dirty Player: How did you manage to gather ten wood (35-11-0), build a boat (26-36-0), and still not get kicked out of the game for not having a castle???
I took the Rampart back from the green player, and then I just jumped into the boat. There were 7 more days left!!!
Trust, but... :smile06: - Which one hundred liches played a key role? - How long did it take to capture the castle, get into the boat, and what was the green creature doing at that time? It wouldn't work for me because the green creature was running around the castle at that time.
Trust, but... :smile06: - How long did it take to capture the castle, get into the boat, and what was the green hero doing at that time? It wouldn't work for me because the green hero was running around the castle at that time.
1. Try not to fly directly at the castle with your hero, but maneuver: take a step, then stop in front of the gate. 2. Pay attention to the hints: a swamp creature will move faster in the swamp than a Pegasus. 3. The green hero can do whatever he wants - there can't be a zugzwang in Heroes, of course, but the game will still force him away from the castle if it considers that Ivor is at a safe distance. Don't forget that you are playing against a rather primitive AI, not a human.:smile13: Note: Zugzwang is a position in chess where the obligation to make a move is disadvantageous for the player.
Военное дело просто и вполне доступно здравому уму человека. Но воевать сложно.
Dear DmitriyAS: On what day did you unearth the Grail, and how did you manage to visit all the obelisks?
There's a lot of money after opening Utopia (50,000) and claiming the treasure pile at 12-55-0. The Captain's Hat, taken from Sandro, also grants the Summon Ship spell. At 15-58-0, Jelar, with the main navigation from taking the red town, the Shield of the Damned, and Voy at 51-54-0 with the remaining artifacts, summon ships. The troops are bought in the corresponding castles. Plus, Jelar was helped by 35 Lizard Warriors who fled from the still-living Green Dragon. Jelar visits the obelisks at 66-0 and 26-63-1. Voy raises the Watchtower Shield at 62-36-0, takes Silverstream, hires Claw (defense is off the charts), and successfully visits the obelisks at 62-7-0 and 70-9-1. I unearthed the Grail on the 25th day and placed it immediately in the undead town. As I mentioned before, I skipped one day because it's impossible to reach Ignis after capturing the red town in 7 days. If Vanechka had anticipated this development, he would have made the passage guard at 46-22-1 passable from the side of the whirlpool at 40-4-1, and then it would have been possible to complete it in 25 days.

Liches are located at 44-33-0.
For those who are having trouble, here's a save file. You just need to get in the boat and skip a turn!
I'm just asking myself this question because, using this method, I still managed to win with your save, but I wasn't overjoyed because I assumed that the remaining army wouldn't be enough to destroy the enemy forces, but nevertheless, I'll say this: in this case, it is, of course, about petrifying the dragons (it's reasonable – it's a must), but nevertheless, the Dark Knights and Vampires don't really interfere... ;) - this is always done by just one snake, which lures a group of vampires to itself in such a way that in the next turn they won't be able to reach the Liches (there will already be another one there :)), thereby firstly: preventing the Liches from shooting secondly: returning the Black Knights back (and also the skeletons and spirits, by the way) DmitriyAS;153379
5. "The best is the enemy of the good." I stopped worrying about minimizing losses after the first version of the battle (a triple paralysis happened to be available during a clean playthrough – it would be a sin not to use it). Time is precious, and besides, further development of events was possible even with this outcome, and the "extra" troops still wouldn't go anywhere – there are not many Free Guilds on the map.
Well, in your case, there was simply no such need :)
"Единственное, что можно сказать с уверенностью об удаче - она изменит..."
Okay, now I understand everything.
I just didn't quite understand the actions of Dirty Player:smile21: : running first for wood, and then back to the castle, where the Green Dragon roams – it's an unnecessary detour. For example, I ran:smile13: along the route that Vanechka had planned. That is, Dragonflies - Seer's Hut - Sandro - Silverstream - Darkmoon (41-50-0). As a result, Dirty Player only landed on the shores of the Swamp on day 17, while I already had Darkmoon and Silverstream on day 18. But unfortunately... Then I chased after the obelisks, and if I had dealt with them differently (say, like Dmitry AS), the result would have been different.
And that "threat" was only written because Dmitry and Player were not very willing to answer questions (in my IMHO).
So, please don't be offended if anything. It's just curiosity:smile36:.
