Posts from Continuing the discussion, let's have a serious conversation.
Hmm, the topic hasn't been closed yet? Well, in that case, I'll share my point of view, especially since I already wrote something in the first thread. First of all, Survival expressed his opinion as he sees it, without fearing the obviously negative opinion of the majority. I respect him for that, and there were some valid points in his post. But HOW he wrote it... He didn't consider at all that it might deeply offend someone, and religion is a serious matter. Especially since it was his first post on the forum, and he immediately wrote something like that... It's at least unwise. And it's also rude to attack Survival with insults. But I, for example, didn't resort to insults; I tried to refute what I disagreed with, providing arguments. By the way, regarding the "Bad Post" rating: it's silly to lower it just because you disagree with what's written in the post. I don't really see much point in lowering the "Bad Post" rating, because it won't change anything, and it's much easier to click the button than to provide your own solid counter-arguments if you disagree. (I only lowered the "Bad Post" rating once – I couldn't resist). And increasing it without a good reason also seems silly to me. That's why I have so few increases; I only do it if I see a truly well-written and worthwhile post. P.S. Please don't attack me for what I wrote here. The topic is not closed, and maybe the moderators will pay more attention.
Армия баранов под предводительством льва сильнее армии львов под предводительством барана.
God save us everyone Will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns...
We remember what happened, how, and why. Everyone will stick to their own opinion. Enough is enough.
By the way, I repeat, don't take the database downgrade too personally. ;)
It was Survival 2 No. 1. Well, I don't know, everyone was in favor of closing the thread, but it's unlikely that everyone now agrees with each other on the main issue of the topic... But for now, there don't seem to be any users who can start it all over again, so in principle, this thread can be forgotten.

God save us everyone Will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns...
It's just that there are no completely right or wrong sides in this matter. He certainly acted rashly, but that's no reason for everyone to immediately attack him and resort to personal insults.
Step aside from the way of a better man than you So you fall at his feet hes the one who betrays you Its the servants devotion for the decay Stand up
Guys, couldn't we all just refrain from posting in this thread anymore? There's really no point. Let's play a game of silence. :)
O God of Earth and Altar, Bow down and hear our cry, Our earthly rulers falter, Our people drift and die, The walls of gold entomb us, The swords of scorn divide, Take not thy thunder from us, Take away our pride.
and I couldn't resist! xD What did I want to say? About the reputation system. Vaishan, the system is designed so that you lower a user's reputation if you disagree with their post. So, there's nothing so terrible about it. The problem is that people ignore this principle and lower reputation just out of personal dislike. Yes, reputation doesn't matter; a good post will be heard anyway, but still, it's nice to have a lot of positive reputation in your profile, right? No one will argue with that. But obsessing over it like a crazy person is not worth it. Here you go.
Actually, no. Should you lower someone’s Battle Rating (BR) just because their opinion differs from yours? I don’t think that’s very fair. Nor should you lower it out of personal dislike. However, lowering it because someone comes along and starts acting arrogant (and I’m not just talking about Survival, although he also acted foolishly by starting with such a post) seems acceptable to me. I’ve only done it once, as I mentioned earlier. As for the idea that it’s “pleasant”… Personally, I don’t care about BR. It doesn’t even reflect how other forum members view your posts because you can easily get your BR boosted within a clan just like that. Writing in a congratulatory thread also gives you a bunch of free BR… I only increase someone’s BR if I genuinely like their post. So, feel free to lower all of mine at once – I probably won’t be too upset about it…

2 Vayshan, you're right, although you contradict yourself a bit :)
1) Everyone adjusts the Reputation score as they see fit, because it doesn't really depend on the score itself; it's just an attitude towards the POST.
2) Various holidays, etc., are indeed an easy way to increase the score, but there are no perfect systems.
3) Separate respect to Vayshan for
I increase the score for someone if I really like the post
This is the right approach; I also try to increase the score only for posts that I really like, and decrease it as well (although rarely, when something completely nonsensical is written or there is rudeness).
And yet, as Vayshan rightly pointed out, many people take the Reputation score seriously, especially newcomers.
P.S. Here's an example of increasing the Reputation score. I agree with Vayshan's post, I think it is very high quality, correct, and raises an important issue. Therefore, I am increasing his Reputation score :)
Отдай свои прошлые сны, В сомненьях себя обрети, В бешеном танце душа кружится! Не думай, что будет потом, Здесь и сейчас мы живем, Стань хоть на миг сам собой, слышишь!
Holidays are a real freebie. I wonder if the number of people congratulating others will decrease if we all agree in this thread not to give out "likes"? In my opinion, people who love freebies and a large number of "likes" have always existed and will continue to exist (notice, I'm not implying anything about anyone ;) ). Just conduct such an experiment. Because besides congratulating, there will be no other reason or incentive to post there :)

From your reasoning, it seems that it would be better not to congratulate anyone at all, because here, someone is chasing reputation points and congratulating forum users! Everyone appreciates congratulations; it makes both the sender and the recipient feel good, and I don't think that canceling them will lower the level of website traffic.
