You shouldn't judge the entire portal based on your clan. The average age of a forum user is no more than 20, and there are also many players of the third game. Yes, strong players are often older, but you shouldn't forget that education lasts from 17 to 25. It varies for everyone.

And I'm happy:D I'm turning 27 at the end of the month, and I completed the map in 27 days... And I didn't even bother replaying it after that:D
Besides, we're all in the top 10, despite the map's symmetry and "tediousness." So, there's no reason to be upset or complain... everyone had more than a month to complete it... the session lasts less... holidays save us from work... Respect to Dmitry AS, I wouldn't have had the strength to improve it to 15 days, because in real life, I sometimes need to show up too:D

What's especially nice: there are as many as 4 representatives of our clan in the top 10 :smile14:

The map is indeed intimidating at first glance, and the deadlines suit everyone differently..., but friends, this isn't just a tournament, it's the best of the best! What did you forget? Dmitry remembered this, judging by the result :).
Even though I didn't get to participate for various reasons, I still want to express my special gratitude to both the creator of this masterpiece (this map) and the organizer himself - at least they tried not for their own ambitions... - respect to you! ;)

It took 8 days to complete. There are some minor adjustments in days 5 and 6.
To be honest, describing such a walkthrough is quite enjoyable. In the heat of battle (read: the walkthrough), you don't even notice the whirlwind you've created. I sometimes surprise myself.:)

There are forum users, but not players.
And even within a month, if there's a DESIRE, you can complete a map. Even a result of 19 days – which is my own – I consider very good. Not in comparison to Dmitry's result, but simply good. I spent about 10-12 hours on the map.
But this is my opinion, and I also understand and respect Fireball's opinion, as many support his words. Thank you to the organizers!

It took 9 days to prepare for printing. Thoughts are starting to creep in about whether it's easier to complete such a map or to describe the walkthrough in detail.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the late appearance on the forum. I had internet problems; it disappeared back in 2007, and now, finally, it's back!

Dmitry, you're a "maniac"! Congratulations on your undeniable victory; 10 days is amazing!
With my tactics, I could have managed to complete it in about 15 days (it's a good thing I didn't replay it; I would have just wasted time). I was sure that the map couldn't be completed in less than 15 days, but anything is possible in Heroes!

It's a pity that not everyone showed up (vbn - leader of season 2007, VDV_forever - promised not to give up Best-2, Radik - likes to "fight" with Dmitry_A_S, Fireball - so angered Gandalf and Aragorn that they sided with evil, which doesn't suit them at all).

If the tournament had taken place on the scheduled date, everything would have been fine (there would have been a lot of people)! The organizers have learned a good lesson, and next year, I'm sure everything will be fine!
To be honest, I didn't like the map. It has many useless objects, it's symmetrical, and it's much easier to complete than Best 1 (in Best 1, only two people completed it in 40 days).
I think maps should be accepted until August 31, then the main judges should review them for 2 months, and then the top three maps should be put to a vote by the clan leaders. Let the clan leaders decide which map is the best.

Since Dmitry_A_S has done so much, let him take the blame! And I'll just describe the main points of my playthrough so that everyone doesn't have to struggle for too long. Everyone will study Dmitry's playthrough anyway.

"Best Of The Best" Walkthrough by Perpolken.

Day 1 - killed angels, took a tent.
Days 2-3 - gathering resources.
Day 4 - 2 hives were breached (+14 wyverns).
Day 5 - gathering resources.
Day 6 - recruited 5 angels and 10 djinn lords, breached a hive (+4 wyverns).
Day 7 - recruited 10 champion knights, 4 green dragons, bought 1 cosmic dragon.
Day 8 - recruited 6 gold knights, breached a hive (+6 wyverns = 24). Landed the left hero (Ray of Light) on the island; the main hero boarded a ship.
Day 9 - breached 3 hives (+16 wyverns = 40) and a bastion (+4 angels = 9), killed minotaurs (44+44). Landed the main hero (Saira) on the island. Ray of Light took 2 more bastions (+6 angels = 15).
Day 10 - Ray of Light breached a bastion (+2 angels). Saira killed 100 riders (army before the battle: 17 angels, 34 wyverns, 10 champion knights, 6 gold knights, 2 djinn. Losses: 1 wyvern, 6 gold knights, 7 champion knights). Saira captured a castle (army before capture: 17 angels, 33 wyverns, 3 djinn. Losses: 22 wyverns).
After capturing the castle, 3 more bastions were captured (+8 angels = 26). The army was divided into 6 armies (5 angels), (5 angels), (5 angels), (5 angels), (6 angels), (11 wyverns + 3 champion knights + 3 djinn), and they all boarded ships that same day. The 7th army (4 green dragons + 14 wyverns) headed towards the blue castle (6,137).
Day 11 - gathering resources, landing armies. Saira was ransomed and fled from the main castle towards 111 minotaurs.
Day 12 - 6 armies are 1/3 of the way to the water barrier, the 7th army is at the water barrier.
Day 13 - 5 armies have traveled 2/3 of the way, the 6th army boarded a ship, the 7th army is on the shore near the blue castle.

Day 14 - 4 armies boarded ships, the 5th army was delayed because it had to kill the pink hero, the 6th army is on the shore near the gray castle, the 7th army captured the blue castle.

Day 15 - 4 armies landed on the shore, the 5th boarded a ship, the 6th captured the gray castle. On the territory of the blue castle, 100 sorcerers were bought, and they are already halfway to the Little Town castle. Saira is between this castle and the 111 minotaurs.

Day 16 - Visited the black tent (did not touch the orange castle). Captured the Little Town castle. Through it, 100 sorcerers were transferred to Saira. Saira took a gift from Kyle, visited the library (+3 scholars), and dismissed her. Captured three castles (blue, green, and purple). The 5th army landed on the shore near the pink castle.

Day 17 - While I was sleeping, three forts disappeared (purple, tea, and green). As soon as I woke up, I destroyed two more (pink and orange). Before capturing the Famous Town castle, I had to buy another 100 sorcerers on the territory of the gray castle and capture the Familian Town castle with them, divide them in half, and transfer 50 sorcerers to the hero who will capture the Famous Town castle near the castle, and finish off 2 blue partisans.
I ransomed Saira in the Familian Town castle, gave her all the artifacts, and attacked the last gray hero.
I completely forgot about exchanging the army for resources and dismissed heroes along with the army (25 angels, 200 sorcerers, 80 wyverns, 4 dragons, etc.).

Result: 17 days, 76 skills (21/19/17/19), mercury 161.
