SWAMP
Many say that the Swamp faction is a bad and useless faction in Heroes. They claim that the Swamp faction has no advantages over other factions.
Well, how is that so:
Hydras that attack surrounding units, poisonous Wyverns, intimidating Bullworms, Basilisks that turn enemies to stone, Snakes with their weakening ability...
In skilled hands, this army can also defeat enemies just as well as other factions ;)

Fortress is strong in the early game, but it's not that cheap in terms of resources (you need a lot of wood for just the upgrades). And what can Fortress offer against a Tower, Castle, Rampart, or Dungeon after 5-6 months? Not in a random map? Absolutely nothing, a hero with earth magic and slow can easily defeat Fortress with almost no losses. But they defend well (meaning any army in a Fortress castle) due to the two moats.
In my opinion, it would be more reasonable to ask: Why do some people dislike the Swamp faction?". After all, all factions have their pros and cons. I have a neutral attitude towards them.
+Mine, in any case: hero Bron.
+Transition from Snakefly to Wyvern.
-Creatures are relatively weak.
-Magic is poorly developed.
This is just an opinion, don't kick me.
Well, Tazar will be stronger than Bron.
I didn't understand about the transition. Wyverns are built after the Lizard Pit is constructed, that is, at most on the second turn, if there are enough resources. The creatures may not fight very well, but they are quite initiative, and thanks to the hero, they have high defense.
The third level of the guild is enough for a start. All you need is slow, haste, dispel, shield, stone skin, blind. Perhaps not the best set of spells, but it suits me. And then you can capture a secondary or even an enemy castle, which is much easier to do with wyverns, and then build a stronger guild there.
So you fall at his feet hes the one who betrays you
Its the servants devotion for the decay

TWELF 12. You say that the Swamp isn't that cheap. Think about it – what's easier to find and capture right away? Wood and ore (on the very first day), or crystals and gems? In terms of rapid development, the Swamp is ahead. And, by the way, being an Earth expert doesn't seem to hinder me in any way. And one more thing. If you think I'm going to prepare for an attack for 6 months, you're wrong.
The Swamp is far from a weak castle, I THINK SO...
While conducting your in-depth analysis, you forget about things like unit skills and abilities. The Swamp faction has very high defense, and with proper use, this gives them huge advantages over the opponent (player or computer). Tazar + Wyvern + Tent will defeat quite serious groups of neutral creatures without losses. Basilisks, in addition to having a good amount of health, speed, and armor, also periodically petrify the enemy, taking them out of the battle for three turns. Hydras, with haste, immediately reach the opposite end of the field. No one argues about the usefulness of Gorgons. You say they are easy to eliminate. Is your opponent usually so weak that they allow you to do this? It's a good castle, no doubt. It just lacks easily achievable bonuses like resurrection, which the Archons have.
People who can't play well on the Swamp map don't like it... IMHO.
Well, Tazar will be stronger than Bron.
I didn't understand the part about switching. Wyverns are built after the lizard lair is constructed, meaning at the earliest on the second turn, if there are enough resources. The creatures may not be very strong in combat, but they are quite initiative-driven and, thanks to the hero, have high defense.
A third-level guild is more than enough to start with. All you need is slow, haste, dispel, shield, stone skin, and blind. It might not be the best set of spells, but it works for me. And then you can capture a secondary or even an enemy castle, which is easier to do with wyverns, and build a stronger guild there.
