Nah, becoming a programmer takes a long time, it's complex, expensive, and the competition is incredibly high. Good luck trying to break into that field from scratch. My initial plan was to establish myself in the web development industry, and then see what happens.

And I actually did get into web programming — JavaScript + Vue. Yeah, finding a job from scratch is unrealistic; I got incredibly lucky that a friend of a friend of a friend recommended me, otherwise I'd be sitting unemployed. 

Well, I didn't have any reliable options, and I didn't really have time to study. I took some courses, but didn't finish them, and I didn't gain a ton of knowledge. I was incredibly stressed about my awful, terrible, and disgusting job; I didn't have the opportunity or the strength to calmly study and build a decent portfolio, so I decided to just run away to anywhere. I first got a job as a content manager, and after two months, I was laid off. My boss signed the dismissal order with tears in her eyes. After the New Year, I found a small company and got a job as a marketing assistant. After three months, my boss called me in for a conversation and said, "No, this isn't working. What are you even doing here? Let's start developing you into a full-fledged marketer." I was shocked, but in a good way. I don't know how it will go, but right now, I'm happy.

Cool. Either you die in war, or you die of starvation after the war, because you're no longer fit for physical labor, and you won't be able to become a rioter. Hopefully, they'll at least take him into a monastery.

courses

I somehow enrolled in one of these courses based on a recommendation from a "successful" acquaintance (if it weren't for that, I would never have agreed to a paid course, especially paying for everything upfront). I spent about $2000 on it – for several months, they gave us incredibly basic tasks about using a computer/Photoshop, plus DRAWING WITH PENCIL AND PAINTS ON PAPER (what the f***). Then there were vacations or some other nonsense – in the end, nothing came of it. I managed to get about 10% of the total amount back, but to get more, I would have had to spend a lot more money on lawsuits.

I haven't received any complaints about my courses. There's a paid subscription for coding/programming tasks, plus a web development course for around $200. I honestly completed the course, built a website from a template, and everything went well. Then, my enthusiasm faded, and I switched the subscription to a "standby" mode, paying a couple of dollars a month. I'm thinking of returning to it someday; the amount is negligible for keeping it on hold.
