Unnamed Memory

I think I should try reading the novel, and maybe even the manga as well. It left a very pleasant aftertaste.


As for MT, I've moved it to third place on my list of all the anime I've watched. I probably won't find such a depiction of human relationships, inner experiences, and moral questions anywhere else in anime. It's unlikely to surpass Cosmo Legends, but it definitely has the potential to reach second place.

Aa! Megami-sama!

A magnificent start, sensual, intriguing, and funny – it makes you wonder how the viewer would act in the situation presented; a good protagonist – he's portrayed as a kind and naive loser, but he doesn't repel, quite the opposite, he makes you like him; the heroine – a girl with a truly angelic character, her image is very well developed.
It's all the more tragic that soon characters and situations begin to appear that hinder the relationship, disrupt established rules, and imbue what is happening with excessive absurdity, often turning into meaninglessness.

Bastard!! Ankoku no Hakaishin: Jigoku no Chinkonka-hen

This season is worse than the previous one — there are way too many minor characters, and essentially nothing of substance happens across all 15 episodes.

Ginban Kaleidoscope

There are books, films, games, visual novels, and anime that are fine to check out when they first come out or when no other alternatives are in sight, but under different circumstances they turn out to be quite tedious. This anime is exactly one of those — it's not that it's clearly bad in any particular way, it's just not interesting to watch, especially when you realize you could be watching something else instead. But I will note — the ending is excellent, the protagonist is decent, and you get to hear Marina Inoue sounding very boyish (Naria's voice, by the way...).

It's not exactly amazing, but it doesn't look bad, so I'll give it a thumbs up.

+ Epic atmosphere of silliness.
+ Surprisingly cool development of the relationship between the main characters.
+ Aya and Ken are great, especially the former, and she gets a lot of screen time. In my opinion, this is rare in shonen manga, when the female lead carries the story so well. But it's a rarity that I welcome with open arms.
+ The action is decent. Sad scenes are okay.
- Is the whole plot based on jokes below the belt? What?

I give this a 8/10.

If Might & Magic gave it the same chance despite this, I would probably be satisfied.

Here, it's the surrounding world that's perverse, not the main characters... As a result, their defiance feels even more powerful; they're going against the grain, so to speak!

What's wrong with that? For once, the stakes are truly high, and the characters have something to fight for.

No, but if Momo and Okarun don't have children because of those stupid aliens/ghosts, then it really would be a waste, no doubt about it.
