The plot of the older games can't be called original either.
but that's something that could only be done within the framework of the previous world...
I just get bored playing "Heroes 5" after a few hours. I only play GSC maps, but they turn out to be monotonous. The artifacts are the same (clover, ring of the broken spirit, lion's collar, ...), and they removed the ability to find the Tear of Ascha. In general, in "Heroes 3," there was always hope for victory (even when you were very far behind in development): you found some super artifact (and you wouldn't even mind losing the whole army for it), and you're the king, but in "Heroes 5," there are no such artifacts that I would be willing to lose my army for. In general, I personally get tired of playing pretty quickly.
Generic races, overpowered dwarves.
Boring orcs.
Weak magic.
I would order the Ubisoft CEO to release at least Heroes 5 with 12 races.
So, a war between several kingdoms for world domination is original (The Restoration of Erathia)? Or the search for an artifact that can destroy the world (Armageddon's Blade)? Or a cunning villain who is looking for a powerful artifact (The Shadow of Death)?
Honestly, I haven't played the second part in a long time, so I can't give any specific examples from it, so sorry - only from the third.
*in a tired and bored voice*
Debatable.
Even more debatable.
It's absurd... <_<
I hope you never become the head of Ubisoft, because I feel sorry for the series%)
9 races, maximum 10, more than that – and it's just a monotonous mess. IMHO.
In games like this (Disciples, Age of Wonders), dwarves are quite common, so it's hardly a controversial statement...
Magic is weak, at least in the early stages, if you compare it to the third game... specifically, the damage.
What does rarity or lack thereof have to do with it? The author of the post said they are overpowered. Which I disagreed with.
Well, maybe it's weak for a Knight or Demon and other "combat" units, but for an Academy unit or a Warlock, it's quite strong.
Imagine a Warlock without magic - a pathetic sight. And don't tell me that magic is weak for a Warlock!
I meant magic in general, without any specific schools of magic or other enhancements.
Why should it be strong if you don't "buff" it? ;)
Regarding the plot, I hope that in the 6th installment, it should become an alternative, with the ability to influence events; that's what makes the game truly interesting! [/I]
