Markel is indeed very good, but what will you do with him if you happen to get a map with almost no neutral undead creatures?
I don't play as Necropolis very often, but if I do, I would probably choose Lucretia; she commands some of the most effective undead warriors – you can't go wrong.

Vlad! Markel is good, but it depends on the presence of undead on the map, meaning it's a matter of luck, and I don't like that, plus innate leadership – who would have thought to give a Necromancer leadership as an inherent trait, although on the other hand, you can replace the ghosts with someone more useful, but I don't like that either. Lucretia is strong, no doubt, but on the other hand, vampires aren't what they used to be. In the second, third, and especially the fourth games, they were simply dominant, but now... no, they're still strong, especially under the leadership of the Vampire Princess, but in my opinion, effective resurrection is more important.

Still, no matter what you say, I think Markel is the most "normal" Necromancer. Not only was he an important figure during the reign of Queen Isabel, but he also managed to become a quite powerful Necromancer while remaining ALIVE!!! Naadir, or rather, it seems he's gone mad. When you start playing the campaign for him, he really acts strangely: he talks to a skeleton. It's clearly necrophilia, which indicates a mental disorder. And yet, Kaspar is still cool!

If you play as Vlad correctly, you can complete the game without any losses, so Vlad is the best choice.

And in general, Kasparov's tent is better than summoning, because for EACH summoned creature, you lose 20% health.

And also, there's a bonus to spellcasting when resurrecting. I haven't played with Kaspar, how does it lose 20% energy, is it all enemy units?

What other energy are you talking about? Read carefully – it’s health (HP, lives), and not all units, but only the one you’re raising. If the skeletons had 5 HP, after raising them, they’ll have 4…

Kaspar is great in the early game! And he remains very strong even later on!

Against an experienced player, Orson is a nightmare. You won't be able to defeat these five hundred zombies; they just stand in defense while you cast your unholy spell. :smile24:
