When the runners caught their breath, Vallotta announced the results:
Surprisingly, despite not participating in the race, the Barbarian couldn't help but admit that the competition was quite entertaining for her. The Duke's futile attempts to overcome the obstacle, the mere seconds it took to pass the precious baton between students... Their class performed averagely this time, but an average result is still something, and everyone tried their best. One thing bothered her. -- Teacher Vallotta, -- Varya approached the teacher when all the students had dispersed after the lesson. -- Can you give me some advice? I would like to learn how to work in a team so as not to let my class down, but to be honest, I don't even know how to approach it. It's like... I look at others – and it's fine, I even learn something, but if I try myself, there's little point, and the interest quickly fades. -- Don't get me wrong, I don't want to become an athlete, but I also don't want to be a black sheep...
“Well, Varechka, I really don’t want to upset you, but… some people just aren’t naturally gifted in the same way as others. But don’t give up; physical activity is still important and necessary.”
To be honest, Varya thought there was some kind of training regimen or special techniques, like the ones she went through in the monastery, training her willpower, but after the answer, she wasn't as disappointed as one might think. At least now she has an official answer to any claims that it's not her fault she's lazy, but simply that she "doesn't have the talent." Perhaps that will suffice. -- Alright, teacher, as you say... Thank you for that.
“No, my friend, we’re done with that. Have you heard about Ignatius? We once, uh, asked him for some financial assistance, and he was later found unconscious in an alley. We thought that was the end for us... Luckily, it wasn’t, but we firmly decided that we would never put ourselves in such a situation again.”
“Don’t you understand that he deprived us of experience and undermined the reputation of the entire class? We could have been the best! Now, when people think of Class IV, they will think of a group of disqualified losers, and our reputation will suffer accordingly!”
“Well, you’re right, of course…”
“We can’t let this go unpunished, I’m telling you, otherwise the others will start to slack off, and we’ll never be able to climb out of the bottom positions.”
***
Aorich, James, and Neige take all of Duke’s savings. Perhaps in another situation, he would have tried to defend himself, but the shame of his performance prevented him from finding words of objection and made him extremely compliant with the teammates he had let down.

“By the way, you two, who are you going to vote for?”
“Well, basically, I’m voting for whoever the disciplinary committee recommends.”
“Yeah, the little guy has some good plans, maybe I’ll vote for him. I could move in with a beautiful girl, and my quality of life would immediately improve.”
“Forget it, after the northerner raised the issue, no girl will give him her vote.”
“So, what do you suggest then?”
“The fat guy is an excellent option.”
“Why is that?”
“When was the last time we were at the top of the table? Exactly.
“Ha, you’re right, let the others sweat it out on the exams, especially since he promised that those who get low scores won’t be expelled.”
“And if necessary, we can politely ‘persuade’ him to make the right decisions…”
That night was restless for Futaba — she had a very strange dream that began with her waking up inside a spacious carriage slowly moving in an unknown direction. Night was visible outside the window, and on the seat opposite her sat — Alidun. Noticing that his companion had regained consciousness, he spared her a few seconds of his attention, but soon lost all interest in her and continued staring out the window with indifference. Futaba was not wearing her uniform, but a short white dress with open shoulders and underarms; on her feet were elegant shoes and white stockings held up by garters; on her arms, white gloves reaching above the elbow; and on her head — snow-white flowers. The scene shifts, and she finds herself bound with ropes in a sitting position on a table, as if she were one of the decorations of a luxurious room. Her knees were together, and her heels rested beneath her buttocks. Alidun bows and leaves the room; someone whose face she did not remember approaches her with a bottle of alcohol in hand. He opens it and pours the contents into a triangular cup formed by Futaba's pressed-together thighs. He sits down beside her and drinks slowly, occasionally talking about something, and beyond that, only fog remains.
That same morning, a strange tattoo in the shape of a pentagram within a circle is discovered on Futaba's tongue, which cannot be washed off by any means.
Futaba receives hidden effects: If Futaba's health drops below zero and she is not saved, her roommate, a classmate, or a random NAILS student will lose their life instead of her (in that exact order). Ability to use magic. Inability to intentionally harm herself.
Alidum is such a wonderful person – not only is he successful in his studies, but he also gives out free buffs!
Added 5 minutes later I'm going to the beach with the others. Author
For some reason, I imagine a scene where Elliot draws a pentagram, preparing to sell his soul to the devil for the chance to fondle Futaba a little longer, and Alidum is summoned instead.
Considering the habits of the local king, the unknown patron of Alidum could very well be him.
Ten people gathered, everyone listed is in. The plan is as Heroist wrote. -- Who's going where? -- asked the Barbarian about the other girls' plans for entertainment (after receiving the ticket).
No matter how much of a scoundrel Aliduum is, 95% of the other streamers are even worse.
Could you tell me specifically what these 95% of streamers did? Like, name each one and list their sins that make them worse than Aliduum. Well, the "gopnik" type streamers are understandable, but what about the others? Although, if you think about it, at least the "gopniks" don't harass girls and brainwash them with magic.
Where do we go? Where do we end up when we save the world?

"— I would probably test my courage in the so-called 'Lair of Horror,' — says Claudia, whom everyone had somewhat forgotten during the competitions, — I wonder what exactly might be lying in wait there. — Well then, I'll keep you company, — Ladia looks over those assembled, — does anyone else wish to join?"
Leila was equally interested in the lair of horrors, both as a form of expressing someone else's imagination, and in the exhibition hall. The bathhouse, although it could potentially be something good, didn't arouse such interest in her. Perhaps the least interesting thing for her was the shooting range – she could observe the skill of Nira, Shera, or Cassia at tournaments.
“Perhaps, I’ll join you,” Leila said after some thought, “I’m curious to see what horrors await us there.” (her famous last words)
