New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
atlant108, I'll definitely listen! You can't use any software in any way that isn't explicitly permitted in the EULA by the copyright holder. They invested their intellectual effort, not us. They have copyright, not us. If we don't respect private property rights, society will lose the last vestiges of its memory of ancient barbarians and will collapse. Only a handful of warring clans, following the "war of all against all" system, will remain, which is what social Darwinists taught. And it's also shameful to play on an illegal basis; would you be able to violate the EULA while playing?! I never would: my conscience would eat me alive!!
Finally, I received official comments from Ubisoft regarding this issue. The comments are confusing. It states that the quoted excerpt from the EULA does not prohibit the creation of maps and mods, but it does prohibit the sale of mods online. I don't understand why such strict conditions should be interpreted so leniently, or why a paid mod is worse than a freely distributed one (in my opinion, it's the opposite!!!). Okay, let's understand it that way. Heroes 1-3 and Heroes 5 do not have this wording in the EULA, which means that paid mods can also be created for them. Apparently, that's the answer.
I consider the issue closed, and I thank everyone who followed the news on this topic.
I'm not sure if anyone will answer me here, but I'll try. Does anyone know where the creature stats are stored in Heroes 6? If you do, please let me know. I've searched through all the Data files using a converter, but I couldn't find them. The only thing is, there's a Game.orc file in Data, but it can't be opened with the converter. It's possible that the stats are there, but I have no idea how to open the file.

By the way, the .orc extension is just an extension, and not all of these files can be converted. I don't remember exactly, but one or two files definitely couldn't be converted... the developer planned to fix it, but never got around to it! However, there was a French-language website where they posted a mod with modified creature parameters... I can't name the link right now, but I'll let you know when I find it! So, it seems they managed to find a solution!
