His motivation is not that at all. His motivation is to please the object of his obsession. Turning Tezoth into a human farm is merely a means to that end.
And if all warriors in the squad have stealth, can they move unnoticed through enemy territories? And what if there is a character with stealth detection on the tile?
Sounds like too obvious a self-repeat. In this expedition we already have a heel faction causing enormous harm to all of Tezoth. I believe things are more complex with Deus. Yes, it's more than likely that the Sithian woman wants to become empress and thus elevate herself to top-2 among her people, but does Deus even care about the Sithian queen? Maybe the pair wants to sever ties with Sithia entirely and build their own empire that belongs only to the two of them.
Am I correct in understanding that the cost in units of equipment can be freely substituted with superior equipment?
Is there any limit on purchasing it per turn? Because most towns produce 50 gold per turn (10 units of superior equipment) and only 7 units of standard, making the choice between the former and the latter obvious. You get not only more, but better. Florenzan, with a single Matrikaria action, can buy up to 125 units, effectively negating the equipment phase altogether. What's more, it's not even certain that Lorelei, with Gurences' bonuses, wouldn't find it more profitable to buy gear instead of producing it. Given the turns of Teneressa and Faredzhia, this clearly looks like an oversight, but I only noticed it now. So, while I (and other players) haven't made our moves yet, I'm drawing attention to it.
