I don't know by what principle your shadow killed (or generally worked), but for now, among the players, Karnarez has a reason to target only Deus's Knights (though he has tastier targets), or Alsira.
The highest chance of falling at the hands of Karnarez among players is Gerych's, btw. He serves as lord... Everyone else is far lower in capabilities and status.
I don't know by what principle your shadow killed (or worked at all, for that matter), but among the players, Karnarez currently has reason to target only Deus's Knights (though he has tastier targets too), or Alsira.
Pure randomness, but for some reason that randomness always struck exactly where it hurt the players most...
He serves as a lord, and given Ciel's refusal, they might pay him a visit with a "renewed offer." Unless they consider the debt already paid. And what about the others?
Orwald and Emilia are small fry. Not even candidates for acting ruler.
Rezara is just a musclehead.
Silverdan has no interest in infighting, is geographically far from the conflict, doesn't help Carnea's opponents, and poses no threat.

Complete randomness, but for some reason this randomness always hit the players' sore spot...
By the way, yes, during the battle the shadow killed Lok's character, who was carrying the game. Had to resurrect using Ona's one-time miracle, which, technically, belonged to Yashchur's character.

Most likely. They must have checked the operation's aftermath, especially since no one returned. Then they'd also learn about the acting lord, given there's some interest in Olivus.
Today I learned that the players' sore spot is Khatarait's beloved.
I don't know about the players, but with Yashchur, poke anywhere — it's all pain. Your Shadows, Karnarezes, Ardases, Jingis with Lydes... Not a single healthy spot left...🙁
Ничто не возникает из ничего и ничто не пропадает бесследно. Если где-то чего-то убудет, то в другом месте добавится. (Закон сохранения).

I expected this myself — to strike the capital from the north together with Estellia but since they didn't set any conditions and we didn't declare war on them, just wasting 5 turns on wiping out identical acting lords with no impact is a strange thing

I don't know about the players, but with Lizard, wherever you poke — it's all pain. Your Shadows, Carnarezes, Ardases, Jings with Lydes... Not a single living spot...🙁
I thought that Lyde was exiled at the end of AA and would only now, through Revaniel, make his triumphant return.
