At one point during his watch, Axel Von Himmel catches the gaze of Karneia Keikunia Iretiret, who has already managed to get drunk (and when was it otherwise?). She makes a ring with her fingers and shows some indecent gesture with her tongue, then nods her head, inviting him to follow her.
- Thank you for your kind words, Your Honor. His Lordship would be most flattered by your assessment, - he says with a smiling bow. - Though just between us - some of the dishes sound far more elaborate than what they actually are. Fashion, you see, heh.
- My lady, the fault is mine for the unexpected appearance, - Radosti gallantly bows his head. - I merely wished to offer my greetings and inquire how you and His Honor find the festivities, and whether you are in need of anything. For you, our doors and hearts are always wide open.
The presence of a foreigner at the celebration — Ambrose Turbon — did not tarnish the mood of those gathered, and his speech met with approval through applause.
- Hm. - Deusa was finally left alone — only briefly, but here was the long-awaited moment of rest — for her, this day was tantamount to exhausting work. - Tell me, O Knight of the Hegemony, how does it come to pass that they celebrate me, yet I feel no joy at all?
Having thought for a moment — for, although Ambrose's attention was primarily fixed on Mariarnelia, there were too many notable faces in the hall for his gaze and mind not to linger on them even for a moment — the knight answered thus: -- To this question, O mistress of the soul
Two answers I can provide
And the first shall be the wisdom of the ancestors
The second — my own personal opinion
It is known that freedom is the hardest of all
And there is no greater freedom for us than power
<
A ruler bears more, implicitly,
Than a peasant, whose burden is heavy but visible
And therefore rulers are sorrowful
When a simple man can lose himself
The sovereign's soul always for the evil and the good
Of their land and subjects doth care.
But I shall speak differently. I am certain, alongside
The visible inborn gifts
Like strength of body, nobility of countenance
There are granted to us unseen blessings.
One soul is fierce in the strife of battle
Another with a discerning mind
Is gifted from birth. But at times
One cannot tell whether for good or for ill
We are as we are. Incapable of sorrow,
Of course, is the peasant who in wild half-bestiality
Finds pleasure for himself.
But a worthy man would look upon such a one
And say: rather than such happiness
I would prefer to throw myself upon a sword.
The tall oak is the first to be broken by the storm
The fairest flower is the most vulnerable of all.
The finer the fabric of the soul, the higher the peak of happiness
More beautiful, but harder to attain.
And the more terrible the depths of despair
To which the path is always paved
For everyone born beneath the sun.
While in the world there is more sorrow than joy
Like a thin string trembling in the wind, the spirit,
Devoid of the armor of indifference with which
Other souls are clad from birth,
Feels the world's grief when others are blind
Hears the stirrings of subtle matters
And sees clearly the truth of things.
At times not knowing their nature
By sound reason alone. Here is the answer
Tangled perhaps, but honest
E si sui vius, er mi grans benananza, e si ieu muoir, er mi grans deliuriers
- Ara-ara, this won't do at all! - The palm of the mistress of Olivus involuntarily found its way to her own cheek, and then, together with her sister, reached out to adjust the neckerchief adorning the image of the Knight of the Moon Shadow. - Forgive me, dear, for clouding the celebration with my spleen, and adding to your reasons for concern. Today is far more important for you than for me — an occasion and an opportunity to behold the breadth of Tezoth and make new acquaintances!
- Your Charm. - A gallant-looking Knight of Sincerity approaches the pair, kneels on one knee, and with the pink lady's permission kisses her palm. - I am delighted to have the chance to behold your radiant visage once more.
- My Lord Arnold, likewise! - Allowing the knight to rise to his feet, Ciel hastened to introduce him to her servant. - My Lord Arnold de Arriet — my distant relative, whose ancestors, by the will of fate, found their new home in Teneressa.
- My Lady, it is an honor and great satisfaction to behold a Knight of the Moon Shadow with my own eyes.
— The honor of accompanying you today has already made me immeasurably grateful, Your Grace. — the mistress managed to reply to Alsira. — A wide hand of new acquaintances awaits the seekers around every corner; one need only be ready to extend her own in return.
— Alsira Vecchi d'Arcrede. — the moon lady offered a slight curtsy, answering the sincere one. — That flattering sentiment is mutual, my lord. Her Grace's kin will always find warmth in our hearts. I hope your journey passed in auspicious tones, and that glorious Teneressa sends us the brightest tidings from afar.
- My Lady Alsira, your name is as beautiful as the blessed crimson eyes, on the surface of which at this very moment I see my own humble reflection. - The Sincere one extends his palm to the moon lady. - Allow me to invite you to a dance, and I shall gladly tell you of the state of affairs of my wonderful house.

Nah, you just can't please him. No hot women — bad, hot women practically throwing themselves at him — also bad...

Lady Nosi's furry ears also caused some concern for Rezara. To be fair, the fury fought like a beast and surpassed most of Swordgard's warriors in strength, but still... there was something off about her. Or was Rezara simply intolerant of races other than humans?
– Indeed, not a pleasant sight, – Rezara agreed with Lady Adata. – I believe Lord Afortek has duly appreciated Lady Nosi's combat prowess. As long as she fights against Tezoth's enemies, she is useful to all of us, is she not?
But upon reflection, Lady Nosi did not possess any supernatural power... where did such trust come from? In search of answers, Rezara took a closer look at the knight accompanying the fury. Who was that Knight of the Crushing Blow of yours...
- Thank you for your kind words, Your Honor. His Lordship would be most flattered by your assessment, - she says with a smile, offering a bow. - Though just between us - some of the dishes sound far more elaborate than what they actually turn out to be. Fashion, you see, heh.
- My lady, the fault is mine for the unexpected appearance, - Radost gracefully bows his head. - I merely wished to offer my greetings and inquire how you and His Honor are enjoying the festivities, and whether you require anything. Our doors and hearts are always wide open to you.
- Our body is like a stove, but it is not only energy that gladdens the heart! The appearance and the story behind any dish matter greatly. For instance, let a dish be burnt, oversalted, or whatever it may be - if it was prepared with love by a dear person, it will not only satiate the body but also charge the spirit with vigor for a long time to come.
Radost felt lost in this conversation - no matter how many hours she had spent familiarizing herself with royal etiquette, by nature she remained a village girl through and through.
- Thank you, My Lord!.. For the hospitality and understanding shown. At the moment we are content and in need of nothing.
- Hmm? - Galmeus Draxlaüs's gaze came to rest on the table where the gifts brought from Teneressa were laid out. - And what sort of dessert is that, rectangular, layered, with a brown velvety surface? - It was tiramisu. - Lord Lester! I would be most grateful if you would help my Radost fully savor this marvel of culinary art! - Said the village lord and deftly vanished from the sight of his interlocutors - it was obvious that such a fine fellow had no need of bodyguards.
- Elder!.. - Nelia Vesta's face resembled that of a child abandoned in the middle of a foreign city.
Cheating — is bad. Regardless of whether he's a Chad, not a Chad, a millionaire, not a millionaire. Someone just puts up with it because: she's afraid (he beats her, throws watermelons, threatens to take away the kids/do something bad to her, the kids, or relatives), she's dependent ("she's sitting on his neck" — because he once said she didn't need to work, and she was only too happy about it), she cheats herself. All of this is not mutually exclusive. Sometimes she's dependent on the money not in the sense of sitting on his neck, but simply because she doesn't give a damn about him, and she sees just a wallet with money and drains it. Just so you know, I don't justify cheating women. The game was even, two pieces of shit were playing.
Okay.

— By the light, in compliments to my humble person, your refined eloquence is truly impossible to keep pace with. — Alsira covered a pleasant smile with her palm. — Your offer would grace any lady's day, my lord Arnold, but would it not be sorrowful to leave the Gracious Mistress and your dear kinswoman so soon?.. — she cast a brief glance toward the sovereign, seeking permission or some other emotion.
At one point during his watch, Axel Von Himmel catches the gaze of Karnaea Keikunia Iretiret, who has already managed to get drunk (and when was it ever otherwise?). She makes a ring with her fingers and performs some indecent gesture with her tongue, then nods her head, inviting him to follow her.
What Axel had heard about Iretiret's appearance turned out to be true. She really was hot. When he saw her for the first time, dirty thoughts crept into his head about impaling her massive frame on his sword. The Knight loved massive targets. Yes, that would definitely be pleasant. But those were just foolish, fleeting thoughts. In reality, Axel had no plans to do such a thing. Even setting aside her reputation as a mantis. Besides, drunk women were repulsive to him.
In response, Axel merely smirked slightly and shook his head from side to side, making it clear he had no intention of following her.
"Find yourself an easier prey, mantis, or you'll choke on it," the Knight thought, and continued watching the celebration.

If the enemy was defeated by a special attack, does the additional attack inherit its properties?
On Lord Dirk Riderson
Just my luck — in the quest, the only named Mikujetsu, I gave him the same name as the lord. The thing is, I was choosing by the principle "sounds like something fitting for the region." In general, I was right, just forgot to double-check what the lord himself is called... I'll assume his parents named him in honor of the lord.
