4. Nebo (Alm) blocks Krabby (Piona) [Failure - killed]
😈
You'll know how to behave when you come to my place.
—
It turned out to be a cool game, but I just couldn't grasp the setting. I was inactive for the first 1.5 - 2 days, and then I just couldn't get into the game - too many small details in the setting, complex descriptions, and absolutely no information from my role. Maybe it would have been better not to sign up, but I didn't know it would turn out this way.
Revan did a great job; the story and atmosphere were excellent. The newspapers were too complicated for me personally, but if anything, there are no complaints - if I had more time, it would have been an interesting feature, not a bug.
As I mentioned before, it was a pleasure to read your analyses, it's a shame that your activity decreased later. Until the final day, I still considered you a strong player, but in the end, it didn't really matter. And it seems like you (or someone else?) raised the question during the game about whether the defender could skip the Neutral Day, and why they would do it. Well, basically, it's because they didn't want to defend someone unknown against someone else on the first day.
Wow. If he were an Alchemist, he would immediately go and attack a random player?!Author
Wrote "okay," took off his pants, and showed the city his butt. It was unpleasant to play with him. Also a fail.
Thank you for the feedback, teacher!
Your advice is especially important after the last three games, where most of the executions were based on the principle of "he's inactive, so he's mafia."
Thanks to everyone for the game, even though I couldn't fully participate. I wasn't disappointed with the role I received, although I did have mixed feelings because it was designed to directly counter the side I was rooting for. Nevertheless, these feelings didn't hinder my desire to lead my side to victory. Unfortunately, this desire wasn't reflected in the accuracy of the nighttime actions, which only benefited the opposing side, but what can you do.
Regarding the opposing side, they played well. If Aretz seemed suspicious from the start, then Ment was in a position of being a likely town member for a long time. Master also, although he seemed a bit shady at first, was later considered more trustworthy, and I believed in Floria and Nebka less than I believed in him. And, perhaps, it was amusing to see his discussion with me about the usefulness of Inar, when he was actually Inar himself. But if the misconceptions about the aforementioned players were still based to some extent on analyzing the newspaper, then Medj didn't have such an argument, although I still considered him a town member because of his generally peaceful daytime play. And I can't help but note his caution regarding nighttime actions as a positive. For a long time, I thought he was Shendet, due to the suspiciousness of Tox (I thought he was Lo), until Medj made a statement that made it impossible for him to be Shendet.
Regarding the town members, I was somewhat surprised by the execution of Yashur, even though he was suspicious. After the execution of Makki, he was one of my main candidates for Chinax, because it was such a Yashur-like move, as much as possible. A similar situation with Pion-Crabby, who was supposedly executed not so much for suspected negativity, but for low activity. Until that moment, I thought that the town winning was quite likely, but that's how it turned out in reality. Of the remaining town roles, Loken (based on psychology), Heroist, and, to a lesser extent, Nefela, were the most trustworthy. As for Tox, as I wrote above, I had strong doubts.
In any case, it was fun to read all of this, and the newspaper title describing the fourth night is quite applicable to the events of the following day. I was especially amused by these repeated mass shifts of votes from one player to another. And I'm not disappointed at all by the defeat of my side – the mafia and the serial killer (both, in general) more than deserved their victory.
Yashur is an epic fail. Of course, there are bad games, but if you don't understand something, maybe you should ask in the thread? Something like, "Guys, explain this and that." There are a dozen wise players here who could help you figure it out. In general, the role of the "mole" implies that you reveal yourself as a useful player and put yourself in the line of fire. You should have played like Mold.
Well, firstly, I wasn't the only one who had problems with "understanding." For example, Tox was convinced that Mold was killed by the killer, not the main mafia. Secondly, I don't believe anyone if their words aren't backed up by at least some facts. I didn't have any information because I didn't have access to the info board, and Revanch wrote the newspaper as he went along, for the negatives and for himself... So there wasn't much point in asking. Thirdly, I didn't need to "reveal myself as a useful player and put myself in the line of fire" because I'm already being killed for fun (at least 10 times more often than I'm healed or protected). MedjersoN_HP
Revealing yourself as the mole is one of the biggest mistakes, a real gift to the mafia.
Was it really me who "revealed myself"? MedjersoN_HP
Plus, I executed the doctor.
Well... *Evil killing of healers and bodyguards.*, so what...:D:D:D But seriously, my reasoning was roughly as follows (see above): *Buddy, you'll be killed either today or tomorrow. It's a pity for the DD, it will be wasted. Today there was isolation (probably), a repeat is unlikely, and you won't get any healing/protection. Come on, choose someone and go for it!* I don't remember why I chose McCue, but it definitely wasn't "randomly," as some people think...MedjersoN_HP
Fail, in short.
Well, in general, I agree. I'm too weak to really mess with people, too weak...:( I'll keep that in mind for the future.
Ничто не возникает из ничего и ничто не пропадает бесследно. Если где-то чего-то убудет, то в другом месте добавится. (Закон сохранения).
Well then, I should probably write something too...
I wasn't ready for a setup like this. I'm a pretty poor player, and on top of that, I had almost no time left because of this stupid move and internet issues. I really hoped I wouldn't get a mafia role or one of the maniacs, because there's no way I could play them properly. I was hoping to get some kind of defender-investigator, ideally the Lizardman, just so I could chill until the end of the game. ... And then I got Rogdan's student... Okay, it would be one thing if it were just a reference to my character in the expansion, but it also came with the most fun ability I've ever played. So I decided to enjoy the game as much as possible.
However, don't think that my "fun" necessarily meant good play. At first, I simply wanted to click abilities for as long as possible and ideally survive until the end. It's a shame they weren't random and there were no kills; that would have been 10/10)))) Oh, and another funny fact... I only found out on the fourth day that redirection only triggers the following day, and even then, I figured it out "by accident." Yeah, heh
For the reasons mentioned above, I barely played with the town at first, for which I repent. I didn't tip you off about the first-day isolations or the second-day redirections. It seemed to me that such specific info would definitely blow my cover to the bad guys, and from there it's a short trip to death. And heroes don't die, after all. In the end, as is known, I had to do it anyway, and besides, I grew fond of our little town and wanted it to win. But at least Revan didn't kill me in the log, so I'll count that as my mini-victory.
Regarding the setting in general... I liked everything very, very much, I'll only comment on your point regarding descriptions... Vague descriptions aren't that bad, BUT, it's strange when some descriptions are explicit and others are incomprehensible. In that sense, the best description, oddly enough, was Neyra's death. Which is exactly what everyone kept pestering me about))))) But some, like Lo's murder, the oranges, and the first clue, were a clear overkill. Revan might be overestimating the skill level of the heave-players, but it must be remembered that more than half of the people here are total casuals (no offense, I'm one of them), for whom such things only cause demoralization.
Regarding the players:
*Tox. Well, as usual here x) Sorry for letting you down on the last day...
*Ment. At the start of our discussion yesterday, I wrote the absolute truth. I didn't want to argue with anyone, but I was surprised and even glad that it happened. And although you didn't hang me, you still achieved your goal, because I completely forgot about you and the possible move to the Lizardman with an invite for the mage to your team. By the way, this might have cost the town the game, so you can boldly consider this a personal victory. Also, the vote for Artza wonderfully whitewashed the latter. I still don't like all these moments of brazenly revealing one's role, even if not on a Tox-scale, I even asked Revan about it; but since the town didn't understand who was who from the discussion between me and Ment until the very end, I think it actually turned out well? And it's generally funny, considering we basically played each other's roles for half the game x) Anyway, thank you very much, it was interesting.
*Lock Your post a minute before the execution was just 10/10. Thanks to it, I boldly crossed you off the mafias, Inarych, and all the "newcomers," and only the moment with the possible Nekoran troubled me slightly until the last day. I'm not sure if something like that could ever be pulled off again, but I was glad to play. And I certainly don't deserve your praise...
*Master You covered yourself perfectly with the investigator role. Of course, I still had slight doubts, and those doubts only grew after the "Inary" vote on me along with Ment, but as it turned out, it didn't decide things. Compared to the last game, yours differed very little, except that you answered a bit more cautiously, but without knowing beforehand, uncovering you was almost unreal.
*Nebos and Arets It was nice chatting with you. Nebos stepped it up noticeably at the end, and also did great at the start as Alma. I don't know why I didn't pay attention to your posts(((((((( Arets was vague, but friendly-vague, which is why if he was executed, it was because of someone else's role. Except that he suspiciously fell silent toward the end of the match, but by then it was far too late to jump anywhere.
*Nephela and Ples Thanks to Nephele for the detailed breakdown of my actions)))) it was exactly after your posts that I decided to get properly involved in the game. Ples played the day very well, I wanted to follow him. Pity he was killed fairly quickly.
*Medj Also played well, even after the check I wasn't sure of your role, and as you can see, even with it, I couldn't determine it correctly.
The others either played inactively or died early, but thank you all for the game anyway!
As per tradition, a separate big thanks to Revan for hosting, I got a lot of pleasure and was glad for the opportunity to participate in this.
Forgot to mention one more thing. When Loken was executed, I had already prepared a description of his execution and was getting ready to post it. Then I refreshed the page and saw that Heroist had canceled it.
I only found out on the fourth day that the redirect only works the next day.
We didn't figure that out right away either, otherwise we might not have used it at all. ) There was also a miscalculation with Nebkom, because it would have been logical for Inaru to place the bomb on the person with immunity, but we didn't think about that.
Interesting game and unexpected outcome.
From the very beginning, everything went awry. Three negative NDs in three different mafia players in the first night is quite something. I had a good role (My mood and predictions were so-so. After the second night, things got worse, but I wasn't too upset about myself anymore; I got rid of earthly suffering, but the team was still there, so we could chill in the chat and not come up with anything.
Well, then things gradually started to even out. The Curse of Ment Necoran is another devastating blow, the loss of the last killing action with a bonus, the inability to remove Chinax without sacrifice, a virtual death sentence on the timer, but we finally managed to get a kill, and Yashur's unsuccessful move as a DD increased our chances, which had tragically dwindled. While the townspeople were being executed during the day, we were killing at night. First, we aimed for Dario, but Theodore died; we misread Mold. Then we figured out Dario, but it was difficult, so we decided to eliminate Shizuo as a strong role, but it turned out that we hit Dario instead.
Then... a duel began between Ment and Heroist, in which the first had no chance of winning; his role would become obvious very soon. Ment decided to sacrifice himself to eliminate Chinax. I wasn't sure about this move because I thought that Heroist would use the isolation of the dead Dario on Ment as a 100% mafia player for him, and then keep him isolated until the townspeople or the head mafia player were executed to prevent recruitment. This would be a harsh trap for all the villains at once. But Ment showed confidence, so I approved his plan, even though I suggested a more risky alternative to kill Heroist with Arandor, which would have worked, since Locken was in block, but the result would not have been as effective, given Heroist's action, which was also correct and saved him from Necoran. Well, then everything depended on the recruitment... At first, we thought about inviting Medj, since it was harder to find Inara than Necoran, but then we agreed that it was Master Inar. Inar helped us by eliminating Tox, and Necoran was a big problem throughout the game, so we chose the first. All that remained was to execute the second, and that was basically it.
Among the townspeople, I was impressed by the play of Heroist, Nebo, Tox, and Locken; Mold was also good while he was alive.
Heroist had a beautiful duel with Ment, one of the most interesting moments of the game. Overall, a very strong game, even when relaxed.
Nebo, well, it was almost a mockery. It's hard to be the one who understands the descriptions when they're spouting nonsense in the thread, and he also misread the clues. But I definitely respect his active attempts throughout the game to bring meaning to the daytime discussions.
Tox, oh, why do you love to reveal yourself so much... The daytime game was good, but contradictory again. If you weren't immune to the mafia, you wouldn't have lasted long.
Locken, played well, but mostly only for himself. In general, this is understandable; I wouldn't want to do everything according to Tox's script either, but he ended up blocking you in the last night, which didn't really affect the outcome, but it could have.
Mold, who knows how the game would have turned out if we had read you correctly...
Medj, you disappointed us, of course; it was bad luck that you ended up in the mafia... The daytime game was nice.
And of course, my super team Congratulations on the victory!
Ment, the main driving force of the team, a mega-brain, quickly and accurately identifying options. Your resilience and will to win inspired me to return to the chat again and again, to think about the game, to consider the possibilities... And the daytime game was great; you convincingly claimed to have a different role, even though it had no prospects due to the curse. I'm not sure I would have considered you a mafia player, even though Heroist accepted the challenge with dignity.
Arandor, it was great to meet you in the chat again after 5 years. I wish we could have played in the thread too... You also played well, calmly staying alive during the day in a difficult moment, not letting anyone dig into you, and you came up with interesting ideas at night.
Neira, my faithful teammate)) I really smiled when I saw you with me in the mafia team again. It was a pity to lose you at the beginning, even more than my own ruined role... I didn't expect you to be very active in this situation, especially with Ment and Arandor being so active, but I was still glad to see you every time you appeared in the chat.
And a completely unexpected teammate, in whose role we weren't 100% sure until the recruitment, Master! He came and won the game, at the same time giving it to us. During the day, he sometimes played strangely; I even thought that you were revealing yourself as different town roles. You made a beautiful throw about the pillows, of course. And with the killing of Tox, you made a confident claim to victory, swaying the mafia to your side; in general, you did everything right in the end.
Well, it was great, even though I didn't get to play in the thread, the game was still exciting. Activity, confusion, arguments and shouts, an explosion and curses, a friendly duel, a double suicide in bed, this game will definitely be remembered by me not just as "I died, but I won, lol." Revan, good set, moderately difficult, and the story turned out to be interesting; I even wanted to return to the expansion.
Thank you all for the game.
Neiko
Although there is an opinion that Frag helped Ment carry the game.
Some of my thoughts were actually correct, but overall, as it turned out, they need to be carefully filtered; Ment handled this well.
Neiko
And yes, I want to honestly and fairly note that I didn't just focus on the roles, because I definitely don't consider this victory to be mine, since my contribution was meager and insignificant, so I won't count it in my victory count.
Your contribution was in moral support, just by being present. Feel free to add it to our victory count .
Dún Scáith
Exactly. If Tox had even one successful block before the sixth night, everything would have been much clearer.
MedjersoN_HP
Night 1) CM in Fragment, because I thought he was an active player and he wouldn't be bored playing during the day, even without an ND.
Yes, but as a mafia player... I wasn't bored in the chat either. But still, it's an anti-fun.
Arandor
We didn't realize this right away, otherwise we might not have used it at all.
Well, I knew about this and thought that others knew it too. That's why in the first night I didn't understand why you and Ment were so insistent on redirecting. It didn't even occur to me that the team hadn't read their own roles carefully...
Log
6. Nebo (Alm) kills Neira (Rafaga) [Success] (Displayed)
And we thought he was shooting at Tox, and Shindet's reflection worked... Why did he guess the clue on himself then, if Alm kills Rafaga earlier, to divert attention or just for fun?
I'll say right away that I haven't read the log in detail yet, and I'm not counting the first three days. I didn't do anything in them; during the day, we didn't execute anyone, and we were just starting to get used to the descriptions of the roles...
Anyway, by the end of the fifth day, I decided that Shizuo was the Hero. It was hard to figure out where Inara's role was, because if he were, say, the Seer, he could have isolated himself in the fourth night and thrown explosives in the fifth. But I was mentally preparing for the worst and understood that Inar, whoever he was, would kill me. Even if he turned out to be the Hero, and I was wrong. I also believed that Crabby was the Pioneer.
Therefore, I gave up on that and set myself the goal of blocking either the Messenger or the Seer. I wanted to block the Seer because there were a lot of corpses. And at that moment, I couldn't figure out how Arandor could be the Messenger. Why? Because, damn it, I was ready to think of anything, but not that "he drank too much and died in the sauna" was the "grace" of Lo... No, that's just ridiculous. Okay, even if it wasn't poisoning, it's logical to assume that Nefi got drunk on a secret visit to the Messenger... That's complete nonsense. Arandor just doesn't fit the role of Lian, so I decided who the Seer was – either him or Loken.
In fact, the block wouldn't have changed anything, because the Seer wasn't going to attack anyway, and the Mafia and the Serial Killer already had an advantage in votes, without any stealing. But still, it's frustrating. Arandor seemed like Aulus to me because he immediately gave a very revealing post on the first day, complaining that isolation was confusing, after people started asking questions about the absence of Aulus's role. Plus, I believed that the Seer-Mourner visited Nefele on the fifth night, cast black magic on her, and that Ar, being the Seer, wouldn't act that way, wouldn't throw purges left and right... I didn't even consider the version that Ar was the Messenger.
And, as I understand it, the town didn't either... I don't know if you could have figured out that Nefi killed Lo, that Arandor could be Lian, but it's very difficult, so I don't blame you. It's a very frustrating defeat; I'm more than sure that if Revan had described everything differently, we would have won easily. Apparently, I shouldn't have complained before the game that the Mafia was weak...
Maybe I made a mistake, maybe I should have stuck to the idea that the Cop was Lo, that he would go to kill, and Ar would steal, and just blocked him. But at that moment, the Seer seemed much more dangerous to me, so please forgive me.
Maybe I really ruined the game for the town, but, again, if there were descriptions at least in the style of the Game Master, we could have won...
Thanks to everyone for the game, congratulations to the Mafia on their victory, and the Hero played great.

Maybe I shouldn't have played around with stealing, but for the first time in all the games, I got a Thief, and I wanted to have some fun, especially since I was counting on living a long time thanks to the passive ability...
But I forgot that I'm a popular person – and in the end, I didn't do anything for five nights. I still don't understand why Nefi isolated Yashur, whom I would have gone after anyway, based on the Cop's tip. Yes, in fact, it wouldn't have changed anything, but the logic is still unclear.

I should have just said in the thread on the fifth day that I thought Shizuo was the Hero and agreed with him to block... Then we would have probably won.
Okay, I ruined it, I ruined it. You can blame me for the defeat.
Maybe I really ruined the game for the city, but again, if there were descriptions at least in the style of the Game Master, it would have been possible to win...
It's funny that this was a Mafia game about a mental hospital, and maybe such descriptions as mine would also fit there... Well, and in that game, the most interesting moment for me is the substitution of the Non-Disclosure journalist. This event, as well as the vague descriptions, still gives reason for discussion, and that's always good, as I think.
