Watched it a couple of days ago. Not sure why I haven't given up on this Disney conveyor belt yet; maybe it's just to stay in the loop, and it's good background entertainment – something bright, colorful, and doesn't require much brainpower.

+ Wow, Disney knows how to poke fun at itself. And overall, there were a couple of good moments.
- Another awful, formulaic plot with a contrived conflict and terrible character designs.

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)



I watched it a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, only in the cinema. The reason I say "unfortunately" is that such stunning visuals need to be seen in the best possible setting. This project by Cameron and Rodriguez held great promise for a strong plot, and I'm a fan of the great and terrible James Cameron, the man behind the endless Avatar project. But, as always, it turned out... let's just say it's not as good as the first Avatar. It has everything, from the visuals to a great main character and atmosphere, but it lacks a quality plot. The romantic storyline is ruined by the stupidity and unpleasantness (in my opinion) of the male character, and the story is spoiled by a complete lack of closure, which generates so many questions that I've never had in my life, and the lack of answers to 80% of them truly detracts from the plot. The transitions between the different stories from the original manga are poorly executed, and as a result, Alita's character changes without reason. And to top it off, the plot ends at the most interesting point. It's not just a cliffhanger; it's a poorly done division into multiple parts that I haven't seen before. Only the beginning of the film, where the introduction takes place, is well done.

However, in my opinion, the film's flaws end with the plot. Because everything else is done very well, and, most importantly, it's a lot of fun to watch. Cameron did lend a hand, after all.

Yes, I've only written about the negatives, but the film is good :D

Actually, the description somewhat resembles another avatar, "Master of the Elements," and while the adaptation looked beautiful, I definitely wouldn't go to see it in the cinema because that snippet of the plot seemed ridiculous (and there are a couple of other reasons, but that's not what we're talking about right now).

I enjoyed Might and Magic: Elemental Guardians. But I don't know the original game.

If so, I recommend it. I really enjoyed "The Legend of Aang" back in the day. I rewatched some episodes a couple of months ago, and it still holds up well, even with a more "adult" perspective.

Steins;Gate Movie: Fuka Ryouiki no Dejà vu (2013, full-length movie)
A worthy continuation of the series that made me worry a bit. Before watching, I recommend watching the special episode; otherwise, some of the characters' behavior won't be clear.

As a disposable entertainment with popcorn, it's very good, but don't expect more. Now I want to watch the animated series.

How to Train Your Dragon 3 (2019)



Contrary to my fears, the third and final installment of Hiccup's attempts to start a peaceful life in harmony and balance with dragons didn't disappoint at all. Although the plot is somewhat cliché, and the grand finale of the entire trilogy is simple and slightly contrived, the movie is no worse than its predecessors. Some elements were borrowed from Thor: Ragnarok (in my opinion, it worked well), there are many references to the first and second parts, decent humor, all the old and familiar characters, and pleasant visuals. I enjoyed it, and I'm glad that the trilogy ended on such a good note, just like it began :)

It's a shame that the movie is a bit short. And yes, love is at the center of the plot. Every creature has its pair, so to speak. I was skeptical about this at first, but... they handled it well.

I initially wanted to write a long post, but I'm feeling lazy. Although the third season, compared to the first, is almost rated 12+, it's not as dark, has less action, and is even slower, it still affected me in some way. However, it's still excellent, and I really enjoyed it.
