That’s how I knew I had nothing to do in Arena. The sword stopped dropping frequently, I don’t remember if I won more than two matches, and I had one attempt left – in short, life is pain.

I finally pulled the first leader in the entire game – Medusa. Apparently, I'm the only one here who hasn't gotten a gacha leader yet. Well, it's better than nothing, although I would have preferred Cassi from this expansion. As for the dragon, I seem to have gotten lucky in the Grand Prix – I managed to get a good mana ramp build that worked in almost every match. I also liked how Cirnitra (new) and the voiceless dragoon (heals when needed, helps finish the match when needed) performed. But of the classes I've managed to play, the forest class seemed the most fun. I haven't been able to try the portal yet – it keeps not being offered to me.

And, like Ment, I'm showing that I can learn and not open the legendary pack. In the past, I opened it immediately, and both times I got legendaries from the outgoing expansion. I'm betting that this time, when I save it until the update, Chronogenesis will drop.

Did you play the final? I got four wins with Swords, the draft turned out well, without Albert, but with three Celias, Octris, Latham... Here's the deck:



As a reward, I got festive cosmetics, a legendary pack, and three Globs shards, which I exchanged for a whole one, I still have two left. Now I have three Globs, but I don't know what to animate with them... Maybe a new Satan, if I pull him? 14 animations from one Glob is a mega-value! Although, how playable he will be is another question.

Latham's effect allowed me to activate Perseus's evolution effect, it turned out interestingly and just in time. This is not quite the end, actually, but the opponent was already practically defeated. On the next turn, he played Olivia, which didn't save him in any way.

I didn't get to discount Latham with Gawain in this match, but I did pull off such a trick in one of the previous ones.



It's a little sad that Gawain was rotated, he would definitely be played in the current mid-Swords...

Octris is such an unpleasant card. Honestly, I don't quite understand why I encountered Leonid more often than her at this Grand Prix... He wasn't very reliable at the last event either, and now he's lost even more in this regard with the appearance of Usurpation and other Mordekai counters.



I agree with Vish about the Forest in this Grand Prix - I also enjoyed drafting it more than the other classes. It's great when you can assemble a control Forest in tier 2 with a Wolf and a Bolt/Elephant. And even better when you can actually pull off an OTK in the tradition of Chrono-Forest x) I once did something similar with a combination of Corvus and a Roach, but I didn't screenshot it, unfortunately...



And here's another one, just for good measure. This is already a rotation constructed, Highlander Swords, which I've been playing with recently. I played the Usurpation servant on turn 2, then on turn 3 I cast Star Shields on him, lol. The opponent couldn't clear him throughout the game x) Although he had a chance to remove him, but he chose to destroy the evolution Vayne, which is quite understandable. And the servant ended up buffing so much that it was really impossible to do anything with him. The opponent thought for a long time before conceding x) Looking at such situations, it becomes clear why no one likes to play against Highlanders... I haven't had so many disconnections from opponents since the WD Ambush Swords!

0-2 – that’s my final score. Finally, I was offered a portal, and I decided to give it a try. It’s fun to play, of course, but it lacks stability. Leonid has always seemed to me to be one of the most unpleasant maps on the arena, both before and now. It was because of him that I lost the first match of the final. The problem is his huge stats, which turns the game into a dilemma: if you don’t destroy him, you’ll get hit in the face; if you do destroy him, it’s still bad. If you don’t have an adequate answer to his bulk or the amulet, you’ve basically lost. For the same reason, the new seraph irritates me more than the old amulet: destroy it – give your opponent -1 to counterattack, don’t destroy it – get hit in the face. I’m thinking about spending my globe on Kurva – she blinks her eyes so amusingly, and animated phials (will they be like that?) are also a kind of endless value.

If there's no adequate answer to a creature or amulet, consider yourself defeated.

Don't you have a single strategy that works in every situation? My enemies always do.

Yes, all tokens from the Animated Legion are also animated. I actively farmed animated Lokok and Kukurek through Gamelin; I did that before. Having his animated full set is infinite value.

0-2 on Sword. Lost the first game to RUNE, bricking until turn six. Lost the second to Sword with a neutral PDC pet, Barbarian, and he even won with a Spartan.

Also, why wasn't it simply stated in the pre-nerf version that it "costs 1 less mana for each allied follower in play"? The descriptions in Heroes of Might and Magic are like that.

Oh, I understand, there was a bug in combination with the new cards. I should have checked the official website before asking. Well, at least they'll give out vials.

It’s not the first time there’s been a bug with it, as far as I remember. And its description was changed in some patch.

46 packs - 3 legendaries. Arbiter, Lightbringer Ekthar, and Carbuncle. Two of them dropped in the last three packs. It seems the curse of Chronogenesis doesn't end so easily - it carries over to the next expansion, which is coming out at the end of the year.
But I got my third Octris from a legendary pack. It was worth holding onto it.

Also, I just noticed that in this expansion, every class got a 3/3 for 3 mana. Somewhere in the corner, the Death Dragon and the Hero of the High Seas are feeling sad and drinking.<

It would have been better to list the gold cards; it wouldn't have been so disappointing.
