Bahamut is a decent guy, but he isn't.

He is not affected by summoning sickness and attacks immediately upon appearing on the battlefield – any opponent, whoever he chooses. He will destroy any follower with a single blow, and no one (except for a couple of extremely mechanically balanced cards) can ignore him and is forced to go all out to stop him. When he appears on the battlefield, he becomes target number one, as befits a true boss and master of the board. Pre-nerf Bahamut was the only one who surpassed him in grandeur and power level, possessing the most powerful physical form and destroying any army (except for one extremely mechanically balanced card) with his fanfare ability, and even then, Zeus could jump out of hand and destroy him at the cost of his own life for that same single blow. And if the developers have truly "changed course," then they will never come up with anything better or more powerful than these two cards. That's when everything will devolve into mediocrity, and all that will be left is to close one's eyes to the imperfections of this world, as Eris did.

Voted for the leaders:

Forest - B&B. It would be interesting to see a dual leader.
Sword - Celia. Hedgehog is cool, but hmm... Unless Mars is a worthy competitor.
Rune - Oz. Let it be, the options aren't very interesting.
Dragon - PDK. There's not much to choose from... The new legendary seems good, but it doesn't really appeal to me; I was more considering Jervu, but I think there's already a similar type in the form of the dragoon.
Shadow - Alice. But here it's really difficult; I wanted to vote for Aisha, Ceres, and Ceridwen... In the end, I leaned towards Alice; it's hard to say why, maybe I just haven't seen her as much as the others, but her map is interesting.
Blood - Karabossa. The options aren't very good. Scarlet and Emerald are too similar to Exella. Spawn? Yorm? It would be funny if Blood was the first to get an outright ugly creature as a leader.
Haven - Taurus. A Taurus as a leader? I'd take that!
Portal - Orkis. The optimal option; the others are just neutral-skeptical.

Yes, Excella really stirred things up. It's a common archetype, but no one would vote for it when there are much better alternatives, because why repeat something that already exists? It's funny, I criticize her so much, but I should be grateful. If it weren't for her, I would have ended up selling my house, friends, family, and half of my internal organs and be sitting around trying to catch Azazel.
