"War of the Mighty"

General Tournament Rules:

1. To participate in the Heroes 3 Tournament, you must register on our website and leave an application in this thread.

2. The tournament is held on the Russian version of Heroes 3 The Shadow of Death with patch 3.2.

3. The goal of the game is not to win the map, but to gain the maximum amount of experience for the hero Dimer (provided at the start) within 27 game days (i.e., the final save must be dated 1-4-6).
The winner will be the player whose Hero Dimer has the maximum amount of experience.
In case of a tie in experience, the qualifying criterion is the sum of primary skills (attack, defense, magic, knowledge) INCLUDING EQUIPPED ARTIFACTS; if a favorite is still not determined, then by the amount of mercury.

4. Discussion of the tournament during its progress is FORBIDDEN!!!
If the organizer or their assistant finds documented evidence of tournament discussion anywhere on the Internet, they have the right to permanently exclude such player(s) from participating in tournaments at www.heroesworld.ru. The results of such players will not be counted and will be annulled.
The tournament organizer also reserves the right to assume that a discussion took place between players if players from one clan completed the tournament identically.

5. Use of any cheats or bugs in the final Walkthrough is prohibited. The result will be annulled.

In case of a week "+5 monsters X" or month "monster X" occurring, the player must replay the single week/month transition and achieve a neutral result.
Due to this rule, the player must have saves at the beginning of each week.

6. The following are prohibited: using cheating programs, codes, as well as additional software that can change the game structure.

7. In case a player is suspected of cheating or other malicious intent during the map Walkthrough, it is necessary to make a save before every significant event (e.g., before a battle, before hiring another hero). The result of a player who played dishonestly, as well as one who failed to send their description (saves) on time upon the tournament organizer's request, will be annulled and further participation in tournaments will be impossible. This will also reflect poorly on their reputation.

8. Sequence of actions for participating in the tournament:

1. Download the save.

2. The downloaded save must be placed on your computer in the GAMES folder where Heroes 3 is installed.

3. Load it and start playing at any time convenient for you, remembering to make intermediate saves.

4. After reaching the end of day 1-4-6, save again.
The submitted save must contain only one hero—Dimer (others should simply be dismissed).
Save name: the save must contain the tournament number (5), the participant's number in the application table, the abbreviation (WM - War of the Mighty) and the player's Nick.

Example:

5_1_WM_Kyle.GM1

5. A full description of the tournament map is encouraged (optional). If provided, a contest for the best description will be held; 10 of them (the very best) will take their place of honor in the "Hall of Fame" section!

6. Send this save to the specified address (in the rules of this tournament).

7. Wait for the results.

9. Final saves should be sent to Kyle27@inbox.ru.

10. The tournament starts on 01.08.2007 and lasts until 29.08.2007 (inclusive until 24:00 Moscow time). Saves will not be accepted after 29.08.2007. Only one final save is accepted from each player.
Results will be published no later than 10.09.2007.

Additionally, leave a message in this thread stating that you have sent the save.
After your save is received, you will see in the application table that:
save accepted - indicated by bold Nick.
save counted - indicated by green bold Nick.
save not counted - indicated by red bold Nick.

Attention: on 2.08.07, the starting save and map were replaced.

Make sure you started playing with the correct save.

That is exactly the point—right now we cannot state this unequivocally, although I would like to. For starters, I don't understand what the status of the tournament is—is it official or not? If it is official, then the rating should be awarded regardless of whether a quorum is reached or not. Even if only one person sends their final save and the tournament is official, there should be a rating. This can be stated unequivocally. However, if the tournament is unofficial, then the rating will be awarded only if there is a quorum. In "the triple" (troyka), that is 10 people. And therefore, a situation is possible where 30 people sign up, and a player hopes that there will be a quorum and decides to play for the rating. But in the end, let's say only 5 people send their final saves. And it will be a disappointment regarding the rating. How can such a situation be avoided??? Maybe count the quorum by the number of people who signed up??? What does everyone think about this issue?

I believe that ratings shouldn't be counted in unofficial Tournaments. And therefore, there won't be a problem.
