Summer, with its vacations, is not very conducive to a strict game schedule, so a tournament with a flexible schedule...

It was dark and quiet in the Red Keep; the moon hung low over the walls—not yet full, but striving toward it. A guard in a golden cloak paced upon the wall.

Once inside, Ned passed two more knights of the Kingsguard. Ser Preston Greenfield stood at the foot of the stairs, and Ser Barristan Selmy waited by the doors to the royal bedchamber. Three men in white cloaks, he thought, recalling, and a strange chill ran down his spine. Ser Barristan's face was paler than his armor.

Ned needed only one look at him to understand that something terrible had happened. The royal steward opened the door.
– Lord Eddard Stark, – he announced.
– Bring him in, – a strange, hollow voice spoke.

Flames burned in two hearths at each end of the bedchamber, filling the room with a grim, bloody fire. The heat inside was suffocating. Robert lay under a canopy on the bed. Towering over the bed was Grand Maester Pycelle; Lord Renly paced restlessly before the closed windows. Servants scurried back and forth, adding logs to the hearth and boiling wine. Cersei Lannister sat on the edge of the bed beside her husband.

The king lay in his boots. Ned saw dried mud and blades of grass clinging to the leather of the boots, their toes protruding from under the blanket covering him. His green doublet remained on the floor, ripped open and discarded, the fabric covered in dried bloodstains. The room smelled of smoke, blood, and death.

– Ned, – the king whispered upon seeing him. Robert's face was whiter than milk. – Come... closer.
People helped Ned approach. He leaned his hand against a canopy post. A single glance at Robert was enough to see how poorly the king fared.
– What?... – he asked, his throat tightening.
– The boar. – Lord Renly remained in his same green hunting suit, his cloak stained with blood.
– The devil, – the king wheezed. – It is my own fault. Had too much wine, damn it, missed!

Eddard lifted the blanket. They had done all they could to stitch the wound, but it was not enough. The beast must have been a seasoned one. It had ripped open the king's belly from bottom to chest with its tusks. The wine-soaked bandages applied by Grand Maester Pycelle had already turned black with blood; the wound reeked terribly.

– It stinks, – Robert said, – it stinks of death, or do you think I don't realize it? – The king's smile was as ghastly as his wound. – Now leave us, all of you leave. I must speak with Ned.
– Robert, my dear lord... – Cersei began.
– I said everyone leave, – Robert snapped with a shadow of his former ferocity. – What in my words is unclear, woman?
Cersei gathered her skirts and her dignity and headed for the door, followed by Lord Renly and all the others.

– Damn it, Robert, – Ned spoke once they were alone.
– Pen and paper are here, on the table. Write what I command.
Ned smoothed the paper on his knee and took the pen.
– As you wish, your Grace.
– By the word and will of Robert of House Baratheon, first of this name, King of the Andals and so forth... insert the damn titles, you know how they sound... I command... to determine a new king of Westeros by means of a tournament among the Great Houses. Ser Barristan Selmy is to ensure that the battles are conducted fairly and nobly.

– Have you written it?
– Yes, your Grace. – Ned handed the paper to Robert.
The king signed blindly, leaving a bloodstain on the paper.
– Deliver this to the council after my death.
The king closed his eyes and seemed to relax.

Tournament Rules:

1) The tournament is team-based with 10 teams (Great Houses). The number of players per team depends on the number of registrants.

Each house plays with the same castle throughout the tournament:

Starks - Tower
Lannisters - Rampart
Tyrells - Castle
Baratheons - Swamp
Greyjoys - Pier
Martells - Inferno
Arryns - Conflux
Targaryens - Dungeon
Dothraki - Stronghold
White Walkers - Necropolis

Each player uses the same starting hero throughout the tournament (different for different team members).

2) Team formation is via snake draft (as in OzV). A house can be chosen instead of a player.

3) Tournament format - round robin with 2 groups of 5 houses + playoffs.

In the group stage, each player plays 2 games against every player in their basket. Total of 8 games in the group stage.

1 point is awarded for a win in each game, 0.5 points for a draw.

Arranged results are not accepted; draws or technical wins are granted only by decision of the organizer.

An additional point is given for the best result in the basket (split if there are multiple contenders).

Points are also awarded for "Battle Royales" (see below).

In case of a tie in points, an additional match between teams will be held.

The 2 best houses from each group advance to the playoffs.

Players who did not make it into teams after the draft will form the team of Wildlings.
Wildling Regulations, Additional Rules.
Each participant in the group tournament must play 1 game against any wildling.
If, at the end of the group tournament, the wildling team earns more points than the team that took second place in a group (if more than both teams in 2nd place - then the 2nd place team with fewer points), the wildling team will advance to the playoffs instead of them. In such a case, the composition of the wildling team in the playoffs will consist of the top 6 players from the wildling team based on group round results.

4) Templates:
- Jebus Cross
- Diamond
- Mini-Nostalgia
- 6lm10a
- Spider

Before starting a series, each player crosses out 1 template; then, from the 3 remaining templates, one player chooses first, followed by the second. In both cases, the player lower in rating speaks first.

Color is negotiated.

Roads - fast on Jebus Cross and medium on others.

Red-rush is allowed on all templates

The crossing out of templates and color negotiation should be done immediately after the group draw, so that players in lower baskets can practice knowing their template and color for future games.

5) Simultaneous turns as standard:
- 7 days on Jebus Cross
- 12 days on Mini-Nostalgia
- 5 days on Diamond, 6lm10a, Spider

6) Timer 16+8+1 on all templates

7) Players have the right, by mutual agreement, to make any changes to the rules except for the choice of starting castles and heroes.

8) During the tournament, several "Battle Royale" mini-tournaments will be held - a short competition (~2 hours) on skill in battles with neutrals (Example №1, Example №2).

Winners will bring additional points to their houses in the table. Detailed regulations closer to the date.

9) Each team must choose a coordinator - a person who will handle negotiations with other teams and the tournament organizer. This does not have to be a 1st basket player; this needs to be someone who is often online and likes communicating with people.

Disputed issues (including simultaneous turn deadlines) are first resolved by team coordinators, and only upon disagreement should the organizer be contacted.

10) In case of a player's disappearance, replacement is possible:

- replacing a missing player with a lower basket player can be done without restrictions (it is sufficient to notify the coordinators of both teams)
- a team coordinator may ask the opposing coordinator to replace both players in a pair; in this case, the opposing coordinator must choose the basket number whose players will step in as replacements (no more than 1 such replacement per match)
- by agreement with the organizer and other team coordinators, full replacement of a missing player with a new player not previously registered for the tournament is possible
- in all cases, starting heroes are taken from the players being replaced, not those replacing them

11) All tournament participants must place their house crest (to be determined after the draft) in their signature for the duration of the tournament. Optionally - set a corresponding avatar.

12) The tournament is fan-made.

Tournament games go into the rating by default, but may not if requested by any player. Notification must be given before the start of the game.

13) Tournament start - in one month, 15.05.2017

Group stage duration - 4 months, until 15.09.2017

Tournament organizer and judge - skd

In general, the map generated was, to put it mildly, strange. Not only are there problems with the objects and the army, but the zones are also extremely inconvenient: it's a hassle to run around the mountains at the top, and in the underground, you have to crawl through long tunnels (my opponent, by the way, didn't have much luck with this – you should have seen how he had to get to his super treasure zone – it was just epic, crawling through a tunnel to a corner of the map with 8000+ movement points to a teleport:eek: , and that's even though it was closer to me than it was to him, I'll explain why later):D But the super treasure zones accessed through regular teleports in the Inferno are an Epic Fail, of course:D My journey to the green Citadel of Cyth through the wilderness deserves a separate story. In short, I was crawling through the rocks, and then I saw a stone mine. I thought, "Finally, on the 4th turn, I'll take the city and collect the units killed on the rocks." But that's not what happened. In short, there are mountains with bushes all around the city, you can see Cyth, but you can't take it, and you have to go around it for another three turns because the mountains stretched down, so you had to go around even more. Luckily, I didn't go any further, otherwise I would have had to break through 50+ archmages with 1 Angel :smile52: In short, I had a glorious, even brilliant, campaign. :smile49: :smile41: And this green Citadel was never conquered. And that's despite the fact that I even made a second trip to it through another adjacent zone. :D I took a General + Breastplate for Spell Power, some meat shields to absorb the tower attacks, and one Ifrit Sultan. I thought that the towers probably wouldn't shoot at one poor Sultan, let the meat shields take the damage :smile14: Then I'd give him an Armageddon and easily take the city :D, but apparently, the intellectually highly developed barbarian knew about my naive and primitive plan and immediately shot down the Ifrit Sultan :smile40: :smile52: And the plan went to hell. That's why the green Citadel got the nickname "barb-mega-defender". So, let's get back to the wonderful, super-convenient, and comfortable super treasure zone of my opponent :D The main reason why it was closer to his Super Treasure Zone was that the teleport exiting my adjacent zone (zone #25) somehow didn't lead to the adjacent zone of the orange player (i.e., zone #24), but immediately led to the opponent's adjacent zone (zone #21):smile52: What the heck is that? :D  Luckily, the teleport led me to who knows where, to that very infamous tunnel that you have to crawl through. That's why I didn't even realize that it was the opponent's adjacent zone, as I had never seen him there :smile52: The main thing is that the passage and other zones were also bugged. Because from his treasure zone (zone 9), the teleport directly led to my central treasure zone (zone 14). And there was no connection from the purple adjacent zone to another adjacent zone at all! Luckily, the opponent didn't immediately attack, but let me explore, which ultimately decided the outcome of the game. Because I don't know how I would have broken the Dragon Utopia in my respawn with 10 Cyclops and 3 Giants, with stats of 8 8 without Earth :smile32: But with 100+ demons, I lost the 21st turn and 4 Ifrits. Inferno rules, damn it:smile51: And there were wings, a Castle, a General, and 2 All-Faction artifacts. The Castle wasn't very useful because Mary didn't have Earth at that time, and she didn't get it until the 7th slot at the end. And Nimue was the same – she had to be developed through the air. But before taking the Dragon Utopia, something happened:D In short, there's something I should probably keep quiet about, but I'll tell you:D I had another campaign in progress before the second trip to the barbarian.:smile52: I placed Nimue so that she would reach Cyth on 1 Angel, I pressed wait, it seemed like everything was calculated, but then, out of nowhere, a purple Shakti appeared with all her might and attacked. I thought, "What bad luck, I'll shoot her down with arrows and finish her off with the Angel from wait, so that there won't be much meat left." And then morale kicked in for the Manticores, and then for the Trolls :smile52: The result: Nimue is gone, the Angel is gone, the second main hero is gone, the Gloves are gone:smile40::smile15: Not bad!:smile20: At that moment, after these trips to the barbarian, I was already tilted and wanted to quit right here and now :smile52: and not play anymore. But luckily, all's well that ends well) Nimue came on her own at the beginning of the second month, the perches and the Shakti were successfully defeated, the Archmages were built in the pink Castle, Mary finally got Earth, and the game was won.

Thank you to my opponent for this very, very strange, but very fun game!

The color was handed over for 1700. I played the first week briskly, killed all the computers, in the Rampart I placed 1-4 at the Citadel, in the Castle 1-4 at the Citadel + an external dwelling of Swordsmen, in Inferno 1-5 at the Citadel, on Conflux a pox. Well, as per tradition, the main is leveled through Fire. I have nothing against Expert Logistics; the map turned out to be very poor, so the skill came in handy to the fullest. I assumed that at level 8, Nimuse would offer Fire again (I checked later - that was the case), so instead of investing in Demonology right away, I had to buy Earth (to break the block into the central treasure zone of 20 Serpents, and other interesting blocks on Mini-Nost, unreachable without Earth), and 7k on a poor map means essentially minus 2 turns. To top it all off, I also forgot to buy a spell book for the main - that seriously affected things later. Essentially, I only started demonizing properly, due to a lack of money, towards the end of the second week, and I also had to upgrade Pegasi to break through mass ranged blocks... In short, a sorrowful mess. On all 4 respawns, there were 2 Hives: both mini. I went into the treasure zone out of necessity, because due to a lack of money I had to trudge to the only relatively spacious and rich respawn of the Rampart, and then consequently into the swamp treasure zone; besides the block of 100+ Pirates, which were fought with heavy losses for me, I found nothing. The town was blocked by these shooters, I had to turn around; another treasure zone had virtually nothing there (a cyclops dwelling with 8 Cyclops Lords couldn't be taken in time according to the tempo). I decided to go to the central treasure zone, but the opponent ran there on the same turn; I tried to grab something in the center, but didn't pick up anything worthwhile from the boxes; the opponent would have covered it on his turn, so with a clear conscience, given the lagging stats and army (almost 100 Demons, 8 Draconians, 50+ Magogs, 23 Pit Lords against the opponent's half a hundred Cyclops, 2 Angels, 3 Giants, 8 Draconians) - I surrendered on my turn in the central treasure zone. A hopeless game for me. Oh well :smile32: This is despite the fact that from Castle, due to the lack of money, meat wasn't brought out at all (42 Pikemen = 12 Demons, 27 Swordsmen = 27 Demons, 27 Marksmen = 7 Demons, 27 Griffins = 19 Demons - totaling another 65 Demons on top). But even with the possibility of buying all this stuff back, I would have been shot down without much effort :smile05:
Thanks for the game.

It turned out to be a hopeless game for me. Thanks for the game.
At the very beginning, my hero with Expert Pathfinding was killed (but he returned on turn 121 :smile20: ), and all my treasure zones were on swamp and snow. But nothing, the huge number of towers with cyclopes did their job. By turn 127, there were 38 of them. It's a pity there were no ducks :((( But even so, the stats were good.

Thanks for the game.

Okay roads, but few creature objects. Scouted all AotD parts in the beggining of 2nd week, but made the artifact only on 135. Late 1st utopy only on 134 with ressurection, but early full control in mage guild. In the middle of the fourth week had 4 heroes with full control, air and earth + 1 hero with tp and earth only. Took a lot of zones and objects, made some demons and upgraded titans. On 147 took opponent's central town. On 214 Mephala took one of my towns and decided to stay in it. I suicided with armageddon on support hero and attacked with bigger army and higher stats. TFP!

I'm going out of town for a week, so I'll be online occasionally, but with limited access. I'll be back on the 17th, so the deadline for the group stage is moved to September 18th. Please try to arrange the details regarding the One-on-One Duel and other matters either yourselves or through the team coordinators.

TFP!

Bad roads for me roads only for green comp and coner t-zone not logistic in all game in my heroes too so bad - controls from GM but to late coming in 143 full control - 3 heroes( bots and gloves in super t-zone get in 4th week to late, make 90 monarh but is so difficult to play whitout logistics in heroes whiout roads.

placed angels on the first tier, but lost on turn 116, so the weekly tempo remained. Somehow managed to get back on track with 4 consecutive turns of tier 3 units and placed archangels, and slowly started gaining an advantage. Thanks for the game.
