I'm still finishing the game on an old version of NHF that's a month old.
I understand, but it's taking a bit too long... when I had time to play, I usually finished it in one or two evenings! And over the weekend, I could even complete several maps! :smile13:
The size and border defense in the Dungeon require building a large army and leveling up the hero; in addition, my colleague is a very busy person, so we play for about two to three hours, twice a week.
Grant a bonus to knowledge based on other stats, but don't make it too large.
Added 15 minutes later Perhaps it would be worth adding some kind of bonus to initiative, for example, for every 5 units of knowledge.
You can also give a bonus to knowledge simply for levels. It's much easier. Why come up with something so complicated?
But on the other hand, something similar already exists. And in essence, both would not differ at all. That is, it would be a duplicate.

In my case, there is synergy with artifacts, special buildings, and with sanctuaries (if you include the other characteristics in the formula). That is, essentially, this bonus depends not only on the level but also on the hero's upgrades/equipment. A little bit of variability.
Here's an idea for a special ability for a male hero: "Womanizer."
Here's the gist: The hero receives +1 to defense and attack for every 50 beasts/furies/hags or every 8 witches/shadow lords/mistresses, or 25 shamans/daughters of earth/daughters of the sky. If he loses his "girls," the skill is reduced by double, and his morale is reduced by one. The overall increase (or decrease) is increased by 1 unit of defense for every 9 levels of the hero. But that's not all. For having sympathetic heroines from Dungeon, Sylvan, and Haven under his command, the hero receives a 10% bonus to his overall skill increase for each heroine. Nuance: if the heroines die, the hero loses the bonus threefold. If Vidomina is on the map, the hero's morale is constantly -3 plus 1 for every 7 levels of the last one. That's how it is. A well-thought-out special ability with great originality.

I personally like it! The question is, how realistic is it to implement?
We could definitely create the first part. Checking for the presence of creatures, heroes, Vidomina, but the disappearance part...
In principle, it could be done using an array with the gender of heroes/heroines... like 0/1... but again, it would be complex to implement, but it would be very creative!
Yes. The creativity is great. It would be the greatest special ability of all time and of all mods... But there are many problems with the implementation. It's clear how to add a bonus, but how to take it away. The mod has a hero with an attack bonus when he has bonebreakers, but it's simpler there...

I'm actually playing as that hero right now)))

Here, this is interesting. At least the direction is right.
You could also come up with something based on gender differences. Just make it as simple and concise as possible. I need to think about it ;)
The special ability has been added to the collection (second post in the thread).
