Posts from NCF – Extended list of Neutral creatures.
Well, I'm one of the co-authors, esteemed comrades. CrazyPill, ArchWarlock, Ilve, mDance, StetNoel, and I worked on one side (mainly on the Nival forum and AG, as well as on www.elrath.com), while SimonaK and his team (TSOD, Nelgirith, Fauch, Radar, Cepheus, and Morrock) worked on the other side... it was like digging a tunnel – and neither we nor they knew we were digging the same tunnel. Then, one day, we met on www.elrath.com... SimonaK had a good talk with CrazyPill, and together we managed to create the core... into which early developments were added... and then he put together the first MegaPack build.
Yeah, because EWA has made significant progress in this regard, both in terms of the number of creatures, the translation, and the quality of the icons.
Well, my icons are of good quality; as for the rest, that's not up to me. Besides, if EWA already includes almost all the creatures from NCF, and compatibility with NHF is planned for the very near future, it diminishes the relevance of a new MegaPack build, although such a collection wouldn't be superfluous! By the way, the esteemed comrade dredknight is currently working on this.
Added 1 minute ago I'm not familiar with 5.5 at all. My English isn't great, I'm still learning, so what mod are you talking about? I heard it was abandoned for a while.
Added 1 minute ago And that it was the first of its kind.
AstralLein, I am currently working on NCF Utility. Each release will include new features and content (more creatures).
The current version includes the NCF Megapack.
The tool will make possible to deploy from a different number of predefined creature packs. It will also allow the user to insert his own custom package with creatures. :)
I also have a question for all creature developers here. I am assembling a Mega Megapack with all currently existing NCF creatures. If you have any creatures which are not in the standard megapack could you provide a link to them?
I also have my own mega-pack, but it's very unique, so never mind it.
Added after 54 seconds By the way, there's an NCF similar to a bone-like flying beast that isn't in any mega-pack. Can you get it?
Added after 5 minutes It takes a long time to write and read....))))
Added after 1 minute Interesting, ten mega-packs, one core. What awaits NCF? Will it be unified?
The version by dredknight is the most up-to-date at the moment, but it most likely doesn't contain creatures that haven't been published on HeroesCommunity!
This is what the creature looked like initially. Unfortunately, I don't know who the author is. Then codenameray suggested refining it, and we got to work: /topic/7893/ The result was this: /topic/at/471742/ And this: /topic/at/473934/ What kolt_av posted, kolt_av, seems to have been further refined (at least as an icon); it was interesting to see what happened next in the community.) I don't know who created the Necromancer on a dragon and the rider with a scythe; they look very cool.) When we were working on the Dark Champions and Phantom Riders, I personally wasn't very skilled and couldn't do much properly. At that time, I changed the dragon model, but simply repainted the rider in a rather garish way. In principle, now it seems to me that it would be good to combine two creatures (the Phantom Rider and the Knight) into something single, which could serve as a good upgrade in the lineup. Of course, I won't be doing this myself, haha.
Another NCF developer with their own pack... We need a unified pack.
Also, it would be great to create a file with descriptions of all creatures. That would be awesome!
Dyrman, I accept the criticism :). I started this project because I wanted one pack for all communities. In order to become a reality the following things had to be done: - Purge the megapack from rubbish data. - consolidate creatures in separate pak files. This way the user can choose which creature he wants to install and which not. - set minimum requirements for all creatures. They have to include the following properties: ++ Name ++ Some creativity - all new creatures should be different (name and same elementary texture difference). ++ In game icons (now all icons work; new were made for those who did not have any) ++ Editor icons (all creatures will have editor icons - this is work in progress) - Removed Vanilla creatures - Now you can use the pack on top of standard game balancing mods. - Mana value of some creatures was changed because they could not use their spells
The next version will go a step further with the content. There will be a new pack that will introduce some high quality non NCF creatures from other mod.
@Ment, thank you for the addition. The original Dragon knight version is already present in the NCF Megapak. However the other two are not I but they are added. AstralLein

@AstralLein, just feed me with paks and creatures I have built some automation tools that help me extract creatures (about 98% accuracy) and convert moded vanilla creatures to NCF .
Added 7 minutes ago P.S. @Durman,
What do you want the NCF creature description to include exactly?
@dredknight, good, I hope it will be that way. But there is the EWA project. They have already done the same thing and added even more creatures. dredknight
