I tried fighting several times, and the computer only attacks the main stack of Archangels on its first turn, or the archers if I don't surround them with single Archangels. It ignores the Ancient Wonders, not to mention the single Archangels.
Here's a battle against Denathor on Minas Tirith.
Is there a program that modifies game saves besides HeroesIII save editor (v2.04)? The program can't recognize saves from my game.
Perhaps I'll say this: I always try to choose maps for playthroughs that match my skill level. I started with the tutorial map, then I played "Arrogance." And today, I can't complete just any map.

Marmot Well, it's unknown at the beginning how the playthrough will go, and after completing about half of it and realizing that I can't complete this playthrough, I want to study some moments for the future, so I need some kind of program that modifies saves, so that, for example, I can open a tower on the map and see what troops the enemy has accumulated by a certain time in the game, and so on.

Anatoly43, you can make the losses even smaller by collecting the Cursed Armor; individual pieces can be found with different heroes (at first glance, not all of them, though). We'll suffer a significant stat decrease, but the mass slow and curse should outweigh that in this case.
Regarding slowing down with armor, I thought about it, but it seems like one piece is missing. So, I'm thinking of luring Denethor out of Minas Tirith with one hero (maybe he'll take the bait?), then capturing it. He will, of course, try to storm it, so I won't have to hold the gates.)), although it's not certain that he won't go to storm another city.)) If he goes to Dol Amroth, at least the archer increase is lower than in Minas Tirith (if the map editor is to be believed, there are two timer events that add 10 archers each).

Watching the map editor isn't cheating at all. There are maps that are pointless to even try to complete without carefully studying them in the editor beforehand, unless you want to start over a hundred times. Although, as far as I understand, this doesn't apply to this map.
Normal maps can be completed without using a map editor, which is a good thing.
"Not very difficult." I would rephrase it like that.
I'll send you the walkthrough tomorrow; I'm turning off the computer now.
