New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
By some incredible miracle, I managed to get Maya 6.0, and now I really want to create a model of a hobbit or something similar, and so I have a question: where should I get models from, so that I can, for example, modify a peasant?

It's not a problem to redo it... the main problem is incorporating it with the animation! :smile24:
Over the past 6 months, many new Heroes with unique specializations and skills have been proposed, but what about balance? Will it be addressed in version 0.86? What principle will be used to distribute the heroes in the standard and extended groups in the new version 0.86?
Well, I'll get to that eventually (probably), but I'm interested in knowing where the models of the standard creatures are located.
The models are located in the Bin folder. You can extract them from there using a special converter. There are links to it in the topic. But I think it's better to extract them using a ripper. Just don't extract them from the game, but from the map editor. If your computer is powerful, you can extract hundreds at a time! However, it can be difficult to find the right textures later. And also, if you don't have experience working in Maya, I advise you to get the latest version of Max. You probably won't be creating models from scratch, and if you are going to use something from outside, then there is usually much more available on the internet for Max. Use Maya only for exporting to the game. And it's also more pleasant to work with the latest versions, both with Maya and Max... The older versions are already quite outdated. The only plus of version 6 is that it loads quickly!
Would Blender be a suitable alternative to Max?

Will there be a hero with a special ability focused on skeletons?
Is there a Necromancer hero with a special ability that gives a bonus based on the number of creatures killed by non-magic attacks, adding a percentage of that number to their dark energy?
Then, a penalty could be applied for using certain spells.
Before making any suggestions, it is recommended to read the topic header.
Is it possible to create a hero who would increase the maximum amount of dark energy, let's say, hero level * 30 (similar to the Bone Pillar building, which is located after the Mage Guild in Necropolis)?

Could it be possible to create a hero who would increase the maximum amount of dark energy, for example, by multiplying the hero's level by 30 (similar to the Bone Pillar building, which is located after the Mage Guild in the Necropolis)?
