Wow, that's great. I should try to complete the daily tasks. And maybe I'll try playing ranked matches again, maybe I'll go back to my old tactic of playing ranked with all classes, I think I've put together some decent decks for each.
Thanks to the promotion, I remembered the game and logged in to do the daily quests. This moment when Neftis brings you a flying creature in the arena, and in a rather unusual way.
In this same match, by the way, there was an Olive on each side, Gawain from my opponent, and Izrafil from me, played twice (the second time with Raise Dead). And I had Minte in my deck (she wasn't played at all during the entire arena run).
I went into ranked – the Storm Priest continues to perform well (I crafted Jeanne – I don't regret it). But Shadow... I needed to get just one damn win with this class. I took this uber-tier-1-top-1 Hectorcraft deck, which I once had winning streaks with (and now there are three Hectors), and I got a crazy losing streak, almost lost my rank, and quit without completing the daily quest. Everything seems normal, I always manage to get value from the Catacombs, the Shadows are working, and the Hectors are coming out, but against me, there are always some crazy dragons, with Saha + Izri consistently on turn 8, and after Bahamut, there's always Grimnir, and some Dashkas with insane draw power. In short, either I'm not playing well, or I don't know what I'm doing.
Since I just got crushed by a cockroach-themed deck (yes, if you're playing against a Sylvan deck and you still have 20 health, it doesn't mean you're not dead), and before that, I held out for a while against a mid-range deck (I lost, but I didn't get the cards I needed and I made some dumb plays), I'll praise Sylvan Games for the free stuff.
The image isn't very relevant anymore. It's been clear for over a month that King's Bounty is weaning players off the free-to-play model. And the special offer for $80 shows that they'll be milking you even harder with the next pack.
Hmm. It seems they decided to shake things up and create something overpowered. Better stock up on lubricant.
The peasants are interesting, but I don't see them being meta. There are better options for the curve, unless they're used for evolve trades, but even then, there are things like Fencers and CYBERSTRIKES. Maybe they'll shine in control decks.
Oh, I almost forgot about the two attacks. Then yes, then it's a good card. It might even become incredibly strong and broken.
I already mentioned the spear; in my opinion, it's a bit questionable, but judging by the description, it retains its value and might be useful if things get tough. Although it's still not top-tier.
I can already see Gromil and the old man with the old woman being made scapegoats when/if nerfs come. They need to nerf something, but cutting legendaries is a bit much. And I take back what I said; the old man and old woman will work well in a curved lineup. It's a good card for trades, against skeletons, mice, fairies, knights, and other weak units. With Evolution, it can take out Rahab and Death, and there's a chance it will stay on the board and/or trade with someone else. It's a good alternative to AoE spells. It would be nice if Sylvan had an AoE spell; Ma'ahres eats fairies.
Yes, the elder one. The younger one is a jungle warden. An illegitimate son of Albert and Saber, whom his parents were forced to abandon in the forest.
