Basically, that's what I did with the elves, inserting a piece of the body. But when I put it into the 6th animation, it changed color and looks different from the body. I did it in Max first. If it didn't look different, it wouldn't be so noticeable, really. And I decided not to bother with the Inferno creatures (their arms also sink in), as the character bends their back too much. I have two options: either delete this animation altogether, or, as a second option, attach a non-active model in a joyful pose. The dinosaur will be active, and the heroine will simply raise her hands for a few frames. It's a pity that we can't extract the skeleton from the game... There would be a lot of new models now.

We can extract the skeleton (it's a Granny Skel) - our esteemed comrade Pesmontis showed how to do it using his ArchAngel utility and some old version of 3ds Max - the problem is getting it back in a normal form; something needs to be adjusted in the bone weights and their attachment to the mesh... Our esteemed comrade zAhaR went a different way, but he used some other software for this...
Regarding the color change of the parts, write to my email - [email protected] - I'll send you a link to the utility you need!
Okay. I'll write when I get back to working on the Elves. For now, I've made one Inferno model, put all the pieces together in the right pose, and simply attached it to the Hip. I think it looks pretty good; it's definitely better than the gap in the back. The only bad thing is that I rushed and deleted three heads from other models, so now I'll have to adjust them in the game...(((
Added 41 minutes later Now I've assigned the materials, and it turned out great!!!) So, the small problem with the Inferno models is solved. Now there are no more gaps either. Oh well, it's a shame that I can't do this with all the animations, for example, the firing animation for the Elves. By the way, what if all the Elves wore cloaks? How would you like that? I just wanted to add some variety with some without cloaks...
Made another female model for the Elves. Without a dress, in pants. So now, with the combination of cloaks, we have 4 variations of Elven females. I plan to implement one more. I don't know yet what it will look like, I'm thinking of a long, tight dress, if it works out... For now, based on the first model, I've created two characters - Itil and Tavaril. And it looks great compared to what it was!!! I fixed the back, now the inset doesn't differ in color from the main model, but I still don't understand why the mesh changed color back then. In short, the plan is to implement more female Dark Elves in clothing! That is, there will be three unique female models as well (for SRD, Shadia and Ilaya will have different models!). And I also want to create a common model for both male and female Heavens in a hooded robe, like a mage, for characters like Melchior. And that's it... I won't make anything for any other Factions. At most, only heads, for the Heavens, for those who don't have them, maybe for the Necropolis, and I'll finish the 4 Factions I'm working on (Inferno is almost completely ready, the Academy needs minor corrections, the Elves and Dark Elves need more work). It's already taking up a lot of time, unfortunately... We'll leave the Orcs and Dwarves for better times, if no one else does them...

Before suggesting new specializations, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the existing ones to avoid repetition.
Is it possible to implement a special ability that allows you to see invisible enemies (like the Hunter's Mark, Fire Trap, or the Trapper's ability, etc.)?
That would be quite a niche application... In very rare cases (against hit-and-run tactics from the Dungeon faction), it could even be considered overpowered, as it virtually eliminates the opponent's entire strategy. But in all other cases, it simply doesn't work at all.
From a technical implementation standpoint, I'm not even sure if it can be done with scripts. And without scripts, it definitely can't work reliably in multiplayer. Unless it's combined with NCF? That is, replacing enemy units with invisibility with the same units but without invisibility. But it's still unclear what to do with spells.

By the way, regarding specializations – perhaps, to stay true to the lore, we could ensure that all heroes officially present in the Hall of Heroes have the specialization they actually have, or one that is similar to it (so that the heroes don't repeat each other). Let me explain: for example, we have Gilraen and Sailin – both are hero specialists in dancers, but the first one enhances them, while the second one increases the growth in the city, and so on. If a hero is created within the framework of NHF, then the specialization can be absolutely anything. For example, the heroine Gem in Heroes 7 has the specialization "Adept of Regeneration" - (The hero starts with an initial level of Earth magic, the spell "Regeneration," and can cast the "Regeneration" spell at a level one step higher than their skill in that school of magic.) We don't have Earth magic in Heroes 5, and we can't enhance a specific cast either, but at the very least, we can give her regeneration at the start and add some similar bonuses using scripts – that is, she will be similar to what exists in the lore
... И древний лес, роскошен и печален, Блистает там воздушностью прогалин. Но между кедров, полных тишиной, Расщелина по склону ниспадала. О, никогда под бледною луной Так пышен не был тот уют лесной...
Couldn't you give people, for example, a spell that casts a magical arrow? Or is that not canonical? Like, a person who is an excellent archer, lived with the elves for some time... I'm not talking about the entire avenger specialization, but only about this ability, but as far as I remember, I was already told here that the spellbook is full.
But isn't it possible to set the "extra-expert" level for a specific spell for a specific hero, regardless of the development level of the corresponding school, so that they can then cast whatever they want? Besides, there is no Earth magic anyway.

The skill level is defined for creatures; the hero casts a spell based on the formula corresponding to their skill level. However, if you give them an "extra expert" level in a school of magic (which is possible), they will be able to take 4 perks instead of three, meaning one of the perks won't be displayed in the hero's window (but it will still work). This looks a bit awkward, and besides, it will strengthen not just one spell, but all spells that have a formula for the "extra expert" level.
