If the Hero player also doesn't want to, we can pass this role on to Veiliss. He really likes to talk and has a good charisma stat. Or to me, if absolutely no one else wants it. Varya and Futaba aren't very leadership material, in my opinion. In terms of RP, it's fine to vote for either Gideon or Niri for Leila. But even if Gideon wins the vote, Frag, you can always find a role-playing reason (if any exist) to decline and start a new vote.

Well, basically, if you don't want to RP or something, you can decline, citing the fact that managing a class of monkeys isn't exactly high-tech.

You don't even need elitism here; you can argue that it will all distract from the learning process. After all, the lost time could be spent on studying.

I think Frag is just kidding (but if it's actually true and you don't want to or it doesn't fit the RPG, I can do it without any problems).

Well, Frag has already won the poll, so if he doesn't want to, he just needs to decline for a re-vote.

not very leadership material

not just leadership... 🤭

Well, if leadership involves frequent meetings with a curator... although spending Organization Skills on all sorts of gatherings wouldn't be desirable either.

Want a skip?

/Let Frag agree, and yes, the other votes don't matter./

Returning to her seat, Nira thoughtfully stared at the paper with the name of the future representative of the class, after which she decided to take another look at her new companions:
The giantess from another world and the frightening girl were immediately ruled out, followed by the cheerful young Akkiec. She had to think longer about the two remaining candidates: the Taimanian performed better on the exam and made a more attractive impression, but the inventor came from an ancient aristocratic family.
Nira took a closer look at Gideon: correct facial features, neat hairstyle, cold gaze, businesslike appearance, secretive and reserved, but not timid character. He probably did poorly on the exam because there were no technical questions. He will treat his work with due seriousness and responsibility. The downside is that his circle of interests is most likely limited to all sorts of lamps and switches, and he is probably terribly boring and uninteresting in life. A pity, but he is definitely not her type.
Sighing and shaking her head in time with her own thoughts, Nira wrote the name "Gideon".

Arets, cast your vote.

he also voted a long time ago.

Among her new companions, Leila could only identify two candidates who, in her opinion, possessed good leadership potential. The first was Gideon, a stern and reserved young man, but one who clearly knew what he wanted and why he had come here. Considering his desire to continue the family business, he was clearly a responsible person who was not afraid to take on the responsibility of making difficult decisions. The main argument against his candidacy might be his not-so-impressive results on the entrance exam, but these could also have been caused by some external factors. The second candidate, in the opinion of the representative from the Tower, was Nirianna, who had performed so well on the exams. Yes, at first glance, she might seem like a naive and friendly socialite, capable only of making friends and giving inspiring speeches. But, based on her experience living in the Tower, Leila knew that such smiles were often a facade for a cold and calculating mind. However, these hypothetical qualities could also be a disadvantage, in case Nirianna decided to use her position as a representative for her own personal gain. Perhaps for this very reason, out of a desire not to take risks, the representative from the Tower cast her vote for Gideon.

aa, indeed.

The thing is, it wouldn't be in character for Gideon to refuse at this particular moment.

Upon learning that he had been chosen as the class representative by a majority vote, Gideon was quite surprised, as he was certain that he had gone unnoticed until now, and frankly, he was quite content with that – less attention meant fewer distractions and better results! However, this didn't seem to be reflected in the results of the entrance exam, which made his classmates' decision seem even stranger to him. Could it be that everyone disliked Nira, who had made such a strong impression on the entire academy? Or perhaps... they recognized the true leader, the best candidate among all those present?
This thought brought a self-satisfied smile to Gideon's face. He stepped forward and addressed the class.
— Gentlemen! You have made the right decision. From now on, as the elected representative of our class, I am ready to take on the responsibilities that come with it, to protect the interests of each and every one of us, and to lead our class to success. I hope that a true spirit of camaraderie will develop among us, and that we will embark on our educational journey, illuminating it with magnificent victories!

“Well said, Gideon! And it seems like this is a unanimous victory; I think other classes could envy the unity you’ve shown. Congratulations.” Laurence clapped her hands, expecting the students to follow her example. “Don’t worry, I won’t demand too much from you. I’ll give you assignments from time to time, and it would be good if you kept me informed of anything noteworthy happening among you. And of course, don’t forget to make sure that no one misses lectures. This threatens not only our reputation but also the possibility that the truants will be expelled.”

Of course, Varya claps her hands, noting to herself that Gideon's modesty has suddenly diminished after the victory...

Nira was glad that she and the other classmates were on the same wavelength – the sooner they all got along, the better. “Well done!” she clapped cheerfully, noticing how a wave of newfound confidence briefly washed over Gideon’s face. “He’s not as simple as he seems.”
