PLEASE don't do this! You are all (mapmakers) only ruining your own maps. There are difficulty levels for "easier gameplay."
Yes. I think you are right. If you rework a map ten times, you can end up turning it into who knows what. So, I probably won't change anything else.
In the initial version of the map, it was very difficult to play as the "hero," and when
I made some adjustments in version 1.3, it turned out that the AI suddenly started playing poorly.
And only in version 1.4 did the AI start playing more or less normally. It seems I was really
just making things worse.
I fixed the balance issues caused by the lumber mills being located far away from some players in version 1.4, and everything else should remain as it was.
I played the new version as a mage and was completely disappointed with the map. Its peculiarity is that (according to the author's intention) the AI is simply helpless, and it's not interesting to play. Well, if the author doesn't want to change anything, that's fine, but why not strengthen the AI at the start (at least the demons), and it would also be good to place mentors near each castle on the surface. In my opinion, the author's approach to the map is detrimental to the gameplay. Best of luck with your creative endeavors.
Well, okay, it's possible to strengthen the demons, and it won't make things worse. I uploaded a new version with strengthened demons.
However, I haven't tested this version myself yet, so it might turn out that the demons have become too strong.
I'll play it sometime later. If necessary, I'll fix it.
Hello, thank you for the interesting map, everything is great, but there is one BUT - when loading the game, it almost constantly crashes, and some saves load normally, while most of them crash during the loading process: the loading bar reaches almost the middle very quickly and then the game crashes. I'm honestly tired of replaying for two weeks for the umpteenth time (although I save almost every step of the way). Can you suggest how to diagnose the problem and methods to fix it? The game is installed with a clean version 3.1, and the only mods are the skill wheel and this map.
A known issue, you need to replace the save folder in the game settings. This trick worked for me.
A glimmer of hope is visible on the face, darkened by excessive gameplay, thank you, kind person, but explain how to perform this trick and what lies behind your advice.
I found the folder with saves: C:\Users\Nikolay\Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V — Tribes of the East\Profiles\Wildbee\Saves, and the saves are in it, but I can't understand how and what to replace it with.
It's a pity that I couldn't find the "Dragon's Eye," even though I explored the entire map; I just needed the rings to complete the set.
There were also some problems with saving: in about 30% of cases, the game crashes when loading a save, but when I restart the game, everything loads normally, so it wasn't too inconvenient.
Thank you to the author!
What a fantastic map! It's been a while since I've seen something that suits my taste so well. I had a great time playing it.

I was even more surprised by the spelling mistakes in the game description, but that's just a minor issue.![]()
