— To be honest, I still can't quite believe it's true... To be frank, I was planning to work on it this weekend, but I figured meeting up with my classmates was more important, haha... — After meeting with Parfynora, and now with Lathro, Imir clearly didn't have any free time for other activities.
Latro glanced at his classmate. - How are you doing? You seem troubled. Is it the uncertainty about the future again, or something else? Maybe I can help in some way?
— No, everything is fine. I was a little worried about Romeo and Yaspis being expelled, but I still decided that I wouldn't be able to change anything anyway.
- Ah, this... It seems like a murky story to me, and I'm not sure I trust the official version; things just seem to conveniently align. For example, the fact that all the participants were candidates in the elections... - Latro shrugged. - It just sounds strange, that's all. I don't think there was any particular drama. Okay, good luck to them, wherever they are now. He got tired of talking to Parfenon, so he just wanted to cut the content short.
Added 6 minutes later Okay, we chatted, got where we needed to go, did what we wanted, and then I took the revolver basics and used it for my second event with the senior player. I'm done with roleplaying for today.
Gengoro was very pleased with his student's results.
— You know, to commemorate this event, I'll give you a gift. — He pulled another revolver from behind his belt and handed it to Lattro. — This is an M&O-M500 from a local manufacturer; use it well. Just don't brandish it where it's not needed.
M&O-M500 Accuracy: 50% Range: 8 Damage: 100 Number of shots: 6 Suppressive fire: 3 Weight: 1.0 Size: 1x3
- Seriously? - the guy was taken aback.
He weighed the revolver in his hand, examined it from all sides, spun the cylinder, twirled the weapon on his finger, placed it on his belt, and raised it with a sharp movement - in general, he reproduced the entire sequence of useful and useless, but cool-looking actions that he had learned from his senpai over the past few months, and with each of them, a wider smile spread across his face.
- Senpai! I... - Lattro wanted to say some sentimental and solemn nonsense, but the next moment he stopped himself, remembering that he had known Gengoro for more than just a day. - I will use it for its intended purpose. Thank you.
He nodded.
- And I will continue to improve my skills in handling this little thing.
Today, Latro practiced with his own weapon, which made the whole process feel a bit different. When they finished, his senpai patted the student on the shoulder and said that next time he would tell him about some of his special tricks.
The transfer of supreme power from Eugen Reime to Kamia Rinz was carried out over the past month and proceeded without any significant problems. On the day of the coronation, the emperor performed a ceremonial transfer of the symbols of state power, including artifacts created by their father during wartime, after which he officially renounced his claims to the throne and recognized Kamia Rinz, now Rinz Reime, as the new ruler of the empire. Eugen Reime, unfortunately, did not give the citizens of the empire a farewell speech and allowed his sister to remain the sole focus of attention at this solemn event. Rinz Reime, as described in one of the capital's magazines, proved to be a person born to rule others. On the day of the coronation, she demonstrated excellent speaking skills and the ability to win people over, and her presence, despite her fragile figure, was always noticeable and striking, capable of captivating the spirit. The coronation ended with great success to the applause of countless people, guests of the capital, and its residents. Despite this, just a week later, alarming news began to reach the students of the Reime Military Academy.
First, one of the new empress's intentions, expressed on the day of the coronation, namely the desire to "restore the empire to its former glory," caused many of the empire's neighbors to become quite nervous and express their concerns about the future state of diplomatic relations.
Second, the day after the coronation, "Reime Chronicles" released another issue, in which it unfavorably commented on the actions of the previous emperor in relation to his own duties, and the day after that, it was condemned for insulting the imperial family. The editor of the publication and some of the authors of the articles were executed by hanging in the central square. Whether this was done in accordance with the действующие laws remains an open question. The reality is that the fate of the free press in the empire has suddenly become very uncertain.
And third, Yuki Kamia left the academy. The official reason is resignation at his own request. Whether this is true or not remains a mystery, but rumors are circulating that this was the result of his inability to keep track of the students in his class, which ultimately led to the expulsion of two of them. According to another rumor, Yuki Kamia was placed under house arrest. Mari Kamia, a combat training instructor and Yuki Kamia's wife, still works at the academy, but refuses to answer questions about her husband's decision or fate.
Currently, the students of class III are in their classroom, waiting for their new teacher for the subject of "history and culture" and, concurrently, the new class supervisor.
Linnea nervously tapped her fingers on the table, waiting for their new curator. To say that the news about the Empress didn't inspire hope would be an understatement. At best, they could expect another Egir or Olivius. At worst, Rinze might come up with someone like Arhon, Reisen, or even Thiaris. From time to time, the girl glanced worriedly at Ifeon. As scary as it was for her now, it was hard to imagine what emotions he was experiencing.
