Has anyone else experienced this? It's interesting how they created a series of issues, each focusing on a single question... If you have, how did you respond, and what were the results? I'd like to compare.
By "results," I mean not in terms of stats, but specifically in the storyline. There's a whole story unfolding...

Resolve peacefully - then something about sanctions, I don't remember clearly, you can send an assassin, or you can send a commando (but I might be mistaken). I chose to impose a naval blockade - pirates started attacking. There's an option to punish them or make them the new authority. If you make them the new authority, they'll say it's not working, and they'll appoint a puppet leader, and then you have three options: leave, leave but support one of the factions beforehand, or stay and bring everything to a final victory through force.
