Why not? Night hasn't been called yet. They could have just as easily determined the optimal tactic before the Neutral Day (ND), but it might not have been beneficial. Another question is that I personally don't feel like it.

Are you a town member? (based on your role)
Can you be infected? (based on your abilities)
Do you have more than one ultimate ability? (based on the ND)

So, here we have two special roles – Man and Clara. As I understand it, both have multiple ultimates and cannot be infected. Well, we need to work out the possible answers. It's good that Man looks different, but there are doubts about the Mafia.
