We are used to gargoyles being mechanical creations, but that is not the case. They are living creatures, and we should consider them as half-humans and half-dragons. Let's call them a hybrid of dark elves and black dragons. And thus, they become the offspring of black dragons. Similarly, we can draw a connection between medusas and hydras. Reptiles fit quite well into the underground realm, where there is humidity and dampness everywhere. But according to this logic, manticores don't fit... and I don't know what to do.
I have nothing against it, but it's not lore-friendly. Unless we create such creatures as you described and give them a different name.
If we consider the orc tribe as creatures that are half-human and half-animal, then minotaurs fit into their atmosphere.
If you read the official history of minotaurs, they were indeed given to the dark elves by mages. Although, strictly speaking, it is not said anywhere that there are no other minotaurs who were not "sold," so maybe it's okay...
The guards have pikes as weapons (if I'm not mistaken about the weapon name), and the swordsmen have swords. I also had problems with humans. I never liked playing as them, so I don't know who to include with them.
I agree, it's somewhat problematic.
If something needs to be clarified, feel free to ask. For now, I've made an analogy, and then I want to draw each unit and write down their strengths, but first, I need to be 100% sure that the work on this will end and I can move on to the next one.
As I understand it, the basis is the seventh game? And the idea is still in concepts or in a global mod?
