So I played a bit and was blown away by the sheer amount of bonuses pouring in from all sides. Whether it's hero specialties, skills, sub-skills, laws, artifacts, or buildings — everything gives massive bonuses. It's a seemingly ordinary map, and by the third month, with far from the entire territory explored, I already have stats at 40, all creatures are on steroids, you can't find neutrals on the map above the lowest difficulty level, income is 70k a day. When there are ten ways to stack extra creature growth in all castles, it kind of kills the joy of getting those bonuses.

I also played a bit and felt that Olden Era is overpowered in terms of possibilities. Well, I mean, in campaigns/scenarios (PvE) that might actually be playable. But in multiplayer (PvP) it's brutal, such imbalances in capabilities.

There's no Capitol for +4000 gold, but instead there's a Municipality for +3000 gold + a Bank for 1000 gold + a Treasury for 3000 gold + a Law for 1000 gold. In short, your Olden Era is rich =)

Again, secondary skills only have 2 perks each (not 3 like in Heroes 5), but secondary skills can double some perks if the hero also has them.

The craziest thing for me was +2 to defense for a mage if he casts a spell in a round until the end of the battle. That is, every spell cast increases the mage's defense (any spell). He was casting all sorts of harmless nonsense, but damn, I was shocked when he suddenly had 28 defense points.
