I also think this map is interesting and great!! I've played through it about 25 times with all the Factions. The battles are interesting, and the atmosphere and landscape are top-notch.
I think the most "overpowered" location is the island of the yellow player!! If you rush towards the sea, you can gather a good amount of resources in the water, which you clearly need (wood). You should swim directly to the upper right city. You can make one stop at the mine if you want. Then you'll be unstoppable. The main thing is to do everything quickly and not waste action points even on nice things. It will all pay off later. Why did I choose this tactic? There's a creature with 20 initiative nearby, plus a city, plus access to the Wheel of Fortune with 1000 points. It's a shame if the Orc city randomly appears there. Then it's harder to learn the spell for reinforcements and other things. Because in the rush, there wasn't time for that)). It depends on the chosen Faction. It would be great to add the NHF new heroes mod to this map!!! It's something else. Such a mind-blowing amount of strategies and development possibilities is just Super! And what color should you start the map with? Brown is also interesting because of the access to that city, and the artifact for luck is nearby, and the factory across the bridge replaces 3 cities when trading.
The lower left city, for example, is like Rzhev in '42. It's a crossroads for everything. The battles were the most intense, and I once got stuck defending against attacks from all sides! If that makes sense? It's worth taking it)).
I haven't had this much fun playing a map in Heroes for a long time. I even developed a quick way to capture the neutral city in the water. But it always ended up being another Faction)). Maybe I'll get lucky next time. Thank you for the map. It's great. Have a good game, everyone...))
