Legacy of the Past

I played through this scenario on Hero difficulty. I'll start by describing my playthrough. I had a normal start, repelled the first attack by Svey, learned Blind and Subdue in the guild, and then used these skills to explore the map. In the Dungeon, I found a scroll with Vampirism and decided that I would only raise Death Knights from Necromancy. It's a good idea, but while I was running around the map and fighting neutrals, Svey gathered a large army. She didn't attack the Castle, but in the field, there would have been heavy losses against her. In the end, I hid my entire army, except for the Liches and Death Knights, in the lumber mill and forced her to attack the city. The losses were two Liches, and she fled. Sandro then only took Death Knights; the rest of the army remained to guard the city. I captured two Dwarf cities and defeated the Demons, but then I didn't quite understand what I needed to do. While I was figuring it out, a lot of time passed again (it turned out that there was a third Dwarf city). Neutral units had already become huge; I mostly defeated everyone using Darkness, but I remember a battle against 4798 Dragons (Spectral + Astral) using Summoning (I never found Sandro's cloak). There was also a similar battle against 3k Dwarf Dragons. I didn't complete any of the optional quests. When I reached Khodor, I realized that I didn't have enough of an army, so I gathered and converted troops from all the cities. Only after that did I win (the battle was still interesting), on day 261. From some point on, I stopped paying attention to the time, but who cares?
The scenario is excellent; I liked the design, and there are a lot of cutscenes. I didn't understand everything in the plot because I haven't played Heroes 6 and 7, but even so, it was interesting. I really liked the idea with the books at the end of the map.
