That can't be. I must be mistaken, but I don't think I upgraded her spellcasting skills, and she was attacking every five seconds (figuratively speaking, of course).

She starts with spellcasting skills, so it's hard not to upgrade them. And the numbers with the initiative bonus from the specialization are correct; I even checked with the manual just now. The hero's initiative increases by 0.05 for each level.
