On August 27, Ubisoft announced that it intends to release a remake of Heroes 3 by 2027, developed in-house.

Facts stated by the developers:

• the game will include 2 expansions: Armageddon's Blade and The Shadow of Death

• 9 factions

• the original campaigns will be available

• network play for up to 8 players, including hotseat

• a map editor will be available, and it will have the ability to import maps from the original Heroes
