"And who promised it would be easy?" - the spirit of Tiera (c)

Completing some missions raised questions, and to solve them, I had to dig through various guides, forums, etc. In some cases, these guides didn't help, so I looked for ways myself. A description of the difficulties encountered and how to overcome them is in this thread. Specifically the difficulties, not a full Walkthrough (like "turn left, capture the sawmill, pick up wood and undead, then go up to the city," etc.))

Plus problems of a purely technical nature: after playing all parts (base game + 2 add-ons), regardless of the source (a licensed version of the game bought for a decent amount of money or a distribution downloaded from the internet), I encountered various troubles described below. Naturally, all internet resources were searched in same search for solutions. Everything that helped is also here.
So, from the very beginning...

1. Base Game.

Queen (Human Campaign)

mission "The King's Sunset"
The Tear of Ashi has already been found, but the Red "enemies" are still running out of their city, passing through their garrison and trying to capture your city. This lasts a long time, and it becomes unclear how this is all supposed to end. Well, here is how: the last red unit - Agrail - stays behind his gates and does not come out if there is a strong army nearby. Remove all your units from the red garrison; if reds still crawl out, kill them halfway to the city and wait until, after completing all side quests, a "blue" flag for Nicholas appears on the mini-map and a task like "help Nicholas" appears. Move slowly toward the red garrison, and the final cinematic featuring Agrail and Nicholas will play.

Necromancer (Necromancer campaign, naturally))

mission "The Bait"
Two enemy mages on elephants are running around the map. Getting caught by them = losing the mission. There are several approaches to the river; if you methodically check all of them for fords, you will definitely encounter an "orange" elephant. Run as quickly as possible along the following route: north, then down along the river—there is a ford in the middle of the river. Then to the city in the northeast corner of the map.

mission "Invasion"
How to curse cities – capture them with anyone, obtain the Scepter of the Underworld - equip the scepter from the bag on Markel and run through the captured cities – Markel enters, pull him up, then immediately down, close the city – a prompt to curse appears. To complete the task, curse all enemy cities except Al-Saphir.
Under Al-Saphir are two entrances to one-way portals. To "Follow Cyrus and destroy him" as requested by the script, you need the right one. When hovering the cursor over the portal, a red crossed-out circle appears. Like "inactive," "cannot go there." You can, and even should! Ignore the sign, lead Markel into the portal following Cyrus.

Ranger (Elf Campaign)

mission "Refugees"
The first time, five outposts with trivial guards seemed like too many, so I used cheat codes to create five armies and placed them in the outposts. Meanwhile, the main hero slowly explored their part of the map. Collected everything, visited the cartographer, opened the whole map. What next? You cannot go past the outposts – immediate mission failure; the blue, sorry, turquoise ones ignore my outposts, Biara stands at the edge of the map and doesn't move, only a piece of the red flag is visible. I started skipping days. Nothing changed...
I started over. This time I left the outposts as they were. Soon, the turquoise player took one of them, then rode back himself without leaving guards, and a task appeared in the journal – "Reclaim the border outpost." OK, I approached and reclaimed it. Then again with another outpost. And then Biara moved through the central outpost toward the city, which was empty at the time. Caught her, beat her) Mission completed.
Apparently, the first time, unnaturally strong outposts and a city "scared" the computer opponents – why would they rush to certain death))

mission "Defense"
As in "Refugees" – if a super-army is sitting in the city, the purple one doesn't leave the portal or run to attack the city. So a large army obtained dishonestly is not always good))
I traversed the whole map, freed two heroes, and repelled purple attacks, however, the tasks "Hold Syris Tallu" and "Free Talanar and Dirael" remained unchecked. The required garrison for the quest (50 druids + 30 unicorns + 10 dragons) is in the castle, former prisoners stand near the castle, the purple one has hidden again... I searched for solutions on the internet.
Prisons should only be freed after receiving such a task and before taking the necromancer's castle. When freeing heroes, the garrison filling task must be completed and checked.
But the mission doesn't end...
I found advice - hire some other hero in the same necromancers' castle. What is the connection? Ask the developers)) But the mission ended after buying some random elf)

mission "Archipelago"
A secondary (thank god)) task – "Collect ancient artifacts." Which ones, how many – it doesn't specify. I "cleaned" the whole map, found a couple of armor sets, a bow, a sword, a horseshoe, a pendant, boots – the task was still not considered completed. I saw complaints about this problem on the internet, but there is no solution; for some it works, for others it doesn't.

mission "Higher Vampire"
If you happen to kill Nicholas with some newly hired hero in town, the completion check will not appear. Only Faedaen.

Academy (Mage Campaign)

mission "Liberation"
One of the tasks is to build a level 5 Mages' Guild. You don't need to build anything anywhere. After capturing the city of Al-Saif (northeast), the task will be considered completed.
------------------------------------
Moving from the base game to the "Hammers of Fate" and "Tribes of the East" expansions. Various bad things were encountered here too...

2. Add-on "Hammers of Fate"

Campaign "Frida's Dilemma"

mission "Negotiations"
Frida has a dilemma, and I have a problem...))
After the cinematic about negotiations in the Dwarf Castle, Laslo is shown standing before the garrison; according to the plot, he is supposed to attack it. However, the game simply "freezes" at this point.
The console says: "script error objet "d1" is not exist". As for how to solve this problem – I found one tip on the internet: when the game freezes, type the cheat code @UnblockGame( ) in the console.
The game "unfroze" and everything proceeded)

Campaign "Wulfsten's Challenge"

mission "Partisans"
Task "Help Helmar"
We free Helmar from the underground prison. Every turn, Helmar will try to push toward one of the exits from the dungeon, and your task is to clear mobs from his path so that your new friend isn't killed) The difficulty is that you cannot predict where he will run. Therefore, end your turn near the prison to restore all movement points, and as soon as you free him, save; if you guess wrong which exit he moves toward, load again and move in the now-known direction, clearing the way for Helmar.

3. Add-on "Tribes of the East"

Campaign "Will of Ashi"

Ornella wasn't named that for nothing – unlike other heroes in the game, she constantly screams on the battlefield: when attacking, upon the death of any enemy unit, during... in short, this lady screams for any reason))

mission "Beasts and Bones"
Task (secondary) "Rebuild fortifications" – the task mentions a stronghold, but the quest was only credited upon building a castle.

Campaign "In Honor of Our Fathers"

mission "Collecting Heads"
Task "Bribe the goblins" - I struggled for a long time over who to give these 5 000 to. The Walkthrough says that almost the entire map is full of goblins wanting quick freebies)
Only the "Trappers" mentioned money (they stand near the horizontal road, roughly in the middle; a green crown glows behind them – meaning loot)

mission "Hunting the Hunter"
Near the city of Shahibdia (the final goal of the mission), there is a sawmill. Wood lies nearby, a bunch of mobs are standing, but there's no way to get there. Maybe it was designed that way?))
-----------------------------------------
That's all. Difficulties were overcome through gameplay; only the "Hammers of Fate" add-on, due to the freeze in one of the first missions "Negotiations," required modifying some client files to enable the console.
By the way, do you know how to fix this? The advice to play a licensed version of the game rather than one downloaded from the internet didn't help, unfortunately... It froze in the "license" too..

Enfana, in essence, the problem could have been solved by releasing patch 3.2 by Nival or Ubisoft, but as you know, they are not currently developing the 5th installment, so the issue remains unresolved.
However, is it possible to release a mod that would be analogous to patch 3.2?
