Well, my little journey through the lands of this wonderful game has come to an end. No matter how hard I tried to prolong the enjoyment of the playthrough, I still finished the last part of the trilogy today.
After the second book, I couldn't even imagine that anything could be even better - but I was wrong. This is a ten out of five, folks, absolutely seriously.
A hero who fully participates in the battle, with his improved build, unique creatures and game events, random events, an engaging storyline, and, of course, grand battles - the third part has undoubtedly reached the absolute peak in all of the above aspects.
I played on normal difficulty, and from the very first minutes of the game, I felt the atmosphere of the events unfolding. I planned to develop the hero in the left branch of the leader, through critical hit for accumulating morale and bonus damage to melee units, but in the end, by the end of the game, I managed to fully upgrade the middle branch as well, getting an incredibly cool last skill.
It's funny, but I thought throughout the game that the hero's death was unacceptable, and therefore I didn't lose him in any of the battles, except for the final one, where, just for fun, I arranged a 1-on-1 battle with the last boss, where he died from a critical hit one turn before victory, which was a pity.
Compared to the other parts, there was a clear feeling that everything possible had been perfected in this one: starting from the dungeons, which now have a limited number of entries, to the proportional increase in the number of monsters as the game progresses.
The only small downside: again, unimaginable amounts of money accumulate by the end of the game, which there is even nothing to spend on. The second point is combat healing for nine units of hero power, which, combined with the correctly learned skills and selected units, allowed me to successfully complete battles with losses of 1-2 units from the end of the ice island to the finale, which meant I practically didn't have to spend money on healing. The last minor thing that I now regret - I foolishly missed the opportunity to fight the fire infernals in the bank on the second island. After a difficult, well-executed battle with the main guard, I didn't have the strength or desire to replay everything again, so I simply took the reward, although by the end of the game, I think I could easily defeat these elementals.
I could write a lot more good things, but I want to once again express my great gratitude to the developers (although it is probably better to do this on their official website) of this wonderful game, and I hope for some kind of continuation or at least an endless adventure mode. I will probably replay it on hard mode once more, this time going a different way from the defense branch, replaying the game events with different choices. I recommend this magnificent game to everyone! :)
