Spring is just around the corner, bringing a bit of mood and a desire to hold a nostalgic tournament — in memory of the heyday and former glory of the well-known World Tournament project :rolleyes: The name has nothing to do with templates — everyone is invited, as well as WT fans.

REGISTRATION, FORMAT AND DEADLINES

1. Double Elimination system for 32 players, each stage is bo1.
2. Registration will last until March 10, 2017 inclusive. When registering, you must provide your contact details (icq, skype, etc.) in this thread, or to me via icq 458861576.

RULES AND TEMPLATES

3. The tournament is held on game version World Tournament 0,54 (download http://heroeswt.net/download.php). If resolution is critical for anyone, then WT + HD mod WITHOUT "+". Before starting a match, players are requested to ensure once more that the latest version of wt 0,54 is installed
4. Templates: Jebus cross, 8mm6a, h3dm1 (mirror), Diamond, Mini-Nostalgia
Players cross them out in turn until only one remains. The first player in the pair starts crossing out
5. Castle selection is random via the pair generator in the WT chat and bidding. If the same castles are rolled, bidding occurs for the starting hero. The randomizer can be restarted if both players agree to the restart. Color is determined by bidding. The bid in the bidding process must be a multiple of "100"
6. Default settings: Full WT
(Exp-on, bank-on, tax-on, classes-on, anti-cheat-on, money transfer before day 1-on, morale-off, GS-off, red orb ban, capes)
7. On all templates, difficulty is 160%; red-rush is forbidden on Jebus cross and Diamond; hit-n-run is forbidden everywhere
8. Only resources, campfires, and mills can be taken past guards — everything else must be fought through, even with control. The guards are defeated first, then the object is collected.
For Jebus, defeating guards is mandatory to enter the adjacent zone.
9. On the Mini-nostalgia template, computer player races are chosen after bidding. Each player in the pair names three different types of castles for their opponent.
10. Roads on all templates are medium, except for Jebus cross — there they are fast.
11. Restarts total 113 (111+111+111, 112+111, 113). On Diamond and 8mm6a, a restart upon meeting up to 116 applies, decreasing by 1 day each time
12. A chess timer 4500+500 is used
13. Using the "split from city" bug is forbidden
14. Players must play fairly and respect each other. Players have the right, by mutual agreement, to make any changes to the rules except for the game version.
15. Broadcasting the semi-finals and final is mandatory

ORGANIZATIONAL ISSUES AND PRIZE POOL

16. The tournament is not an "official" Heroesworld tournament. To resolve disputed points, if any arise, you must contact the host or judge and provide daily saves, contacts, and other necessary information.

18. The organizer reserves the right to refuse participation in the tournament to a user without explaining the reasons. Judges reserve the right to exclude a player who violates the regulations from the tournament or declare them defeated. Judges' decisions are not open for discussion
19. Saves of all matches must be kept until the end of the tournament
20. In the event that a participant fails to personally arrange a game with their opponent, they must immediately notify the judge.
21. While participant registration is ongoing, adjustments to the tournament regulations and deadlines are possible. If there are any comments or suggestions regarding the rules or regulations, I will be happy to hear and discuss them.

I tested it with the latest HD version. Not all functionality is available, though (including saving). But at least you can divide the map into cells, choose the desired scale, and use all the hotkeys from the HD mod. However, the function to leave a hero without an army is missing, at least. I don't know what else might come up.
But there is an alternative option, as it was done before: there is still an icon to launch the HD mod without the launcher. In this case, all the advantages of the WOG (hotkeys, etc.) remain, except that you can change the scale (it's really terrible to play in 2017 at 800*600).

In my opinion, two options are enough

P.S. I agree with Artem: a timer of 4000+500 is sufficient.
I would also add HL to the pool of templates instead of CM and Panic.
