New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
Vigo! Vigo! Vigo! :smile44:
You owe me 3x3k.
It seems Vigo, after a hard day's work, just passed out and will catch up on the news tomorrow?
Since there is no official vote and the community has not made a decision, this application is still very raw, and we are gradually filling it out by discussing everything with you.
Vitya, fish spoils quickly, and you've already delayed things enough. If you don't have time to deal with this due to real-life problems, don't push it and start preparing for next year.
Hello everyone! Speaking for myself (Merlin, I hope that's okay? Because judging by the poll in the neighboring thread, my vote seems to be worth nothing): I would gladly participate in the CIS tournament in Korolev, because I have the physical and financial means to participate only in this city out of the ones mentioned. A flight to Volgograd from Minsk is too expensive (I say this as someone who often travels on budget airlines in Europe, and I wouldn't be willing to pay that much for a ticket to Volgograd, and neither would my wife). And traveling with connections through Moscow is also too expensive. I'm not even talking about the price of the participation itself, which was described above. And arguing about the favorable geographical location of Korolev for the majority is pointless.
I also tried to understand the numerous posts by Merlin, who, to put it mildly, vehemently dismissed this city. But something tells me that if this person were interested in the opposite, he would have found another 1000 reasons to consider Korolev's application as well. However, why he isn't interested is another question. And if the trip to Volgograd wasn't paid for, would he go at his own expense?..
Also, it wasn't very pleasant to read Alex's posts (who initially gave the impression of being a very intelligent and reasonable person) at the beginning of this thread, about scamming people and so on.
Regarding buying tickets three months in advance, I don't know how it is with flights in Russia (maybe there's a different situation here), but the cheapest tickets are usually available one and a half to two months in advance, when there are the most offers from various airlines, because not all airlines offer tickets three months in advance. Correct me if I'm wrong.
And in any case, wherever this CIS tournament takes place, I wish the organizers good luck and patience, and more participants! Peace to everyone!
I don't like it when people try to see me as a LOSER...
if everyone else doesn't care, then I don't want to and won't be part of the crowd, and I won't fall for any crap...
Bye everyone))) screw you all!!!
P.S. Please excuse Comrade Vigo in advance; he got up at 5 am today so that he could make it to work and get to the hotel to give us some new, more specific information.
For now, I can only communicate with the team by phone; I can't physically break away yet (.
Otherwise, I might end up being blamed for everything.
Alex, don't get upset; Hiwanna and I were just making this table yesterday as a draft for reference; hopefully, Vigo will explain everything in detail there, and we'll see what and how.
All objective factors (that come to my mind) are in his favor:
- Moscow hasn't hosted the CIS before (the principle of different locations)
- location on the map of the CIS, ease of access (transport hub and all that)
- city size and entertainment prospects (it is practically Moscow)
- approximate price
- personality of the organizer.
Even as a person who wants (based on his own ideas), everything to be good in the hero community, I would like this option to at least get a real chance.
