If I had the time, I would definitely improve the result. But I really want to participate in at least one tournament, and then we'll see :-)

I downloaded the following files for the collector's edition:
1. Heroes_5_rus_(license)_thanks_4_Nezemnoy.mdf (2.5 GB)
2. heroes_might_magic_5_1.04_rus.exe (97 MB)
3. heroes_might_magic_5_1.041_rus.exe (6 MB)
4. heroes_might_magic_5_1.05_rus.exe (28 MB)

I installed the game from the first file. It runs and shows version 1.0, and the menus are already in Russian. I install patch #2. After that, the game doesn't start. What should I do?

Purchase a license.
I am unable to guarantee the functionality or fix any bugs in pirated versions.
I don't know why it's not working, and I don't have any advice.

Please accept my application for the tournament! I want to test my skills against other HEROES! :smile14:

The problem is definitely not with the patches!!!
I installed all these patches myself, but version 1.0 is my purchased (licensed) version... not a downloaded one, and everything installs perfectly

Thanks, that's what I thought :) I'll have to try and find and buy a licensed copy. Ugh, I really don't like doing that – usually, I get everything for free :) This time, I almost succeeded, but it failed. First, I installed a Russian pirated version that I downloaded. As I already wrote, patches install on it without errors, but there's a catch – the game doesn't launch after that :) Then I took the patched executable, uninstalled the game. I also had an English version 1.0 – a disk image, stolen from the FTP server at work :) I installed it. I tried patching it with these patches, but it complains and doesn't patch :) Then I took the previously patched executable and put it in, and it launches!!! It says version 1.5!!! But since the game is in English, I can't load the starting save. I had some kind of Russian localization, I tried it, but it's useless; when loading the starting save, it gives an error, and I can't even read what the error is :) Maybe there's a way to trick it and install the patches on a non-licensed version. I don't have time to figure it out. I'll try to buy one. If I can't find one, I'll miss the tournament. I would have liked to get at least some rating, but I don't have much time – I'll be leaving for a month soon. Even if I buy a license, I might not have time.

I have the game downloaded, along with all the patches and all the executable files and cracks. And I also have Hammers of Fate downloaded.
In short, everything works perfectly, without any glitches or crashes. :D

If you create a proper image from the licensed disc, all patches will install perfectly. You can play as if you have the disc: without bugs or glitches. 2 IronAxe I also love free stuff, but we need to support domestic developers. So, show some civic responsibility and buy a license: :smile20:

Why send a description of the final battle tactics when you can send a replay of that battle?

Thank you for accepting me. This is my first time participating in a tournament.

The rule was carried over from another tournament because the replay feature is only available in Heroes of Might and Magic V. Also, not everything can be seen in a replay (for example, mana is not deducted from heroes), and even if a hero levels up and gains a bonus to their stats, the replay won't show it. And this should be taken into account when compiling the final results table. Although, I don't deny that watching a replay can help you replay a battle. In general, the rule was more of an inheritance than a real necessity, as in previous installments.

I would like to clarify whether the submitted saves will be counted at the end of the tournament, or if I simply submitted something incorrectly (I keep looking at the tournament map – the save is accepted but not counted, so I’m getting a bit worried):smile10:

Don't worry, everything is fine. Once a save is accepted, it means it has been received and verified for functionality. And when it's "credited," it means all parameters have been calculated and entered into the final results table. As you can understand, there's no final table yet. But everything is fine with the save.
