In general, infantry units 2 and 9 are paralyzed; unit 5 poses no threat to Sarnissa and will likely not pass by her. Infantry unit 10 surrendered, and Mariho is sleeping soundly. The underground level looks like this: Just without the infantry – they accidentally ended up here because this layer is the lowest one. The upper green dot indicates the stairs leading upwards (the ones you were guarding), and the lower one leads downwards. Yellow represents the lever that kills all prisoners on the floor.
A predatory smile played on Jennifer's face. Victory was near; all that remained was to finish off a couple of stragglers. Adrenaline still pleasantly coursed through her body, and her fingers still felt the warm blood of Tessar on her bow. He had been good – both the bow and its former owner. Jennifer could be proud that her shot had taken him out of action – who knows how much harm he would have caused if she hadn't stopped him. It was just a pity that she hadn't been the one to knock him to the ground, but she could still finish him off. While the others could start looting, she had more important things to do. Jennifer approached Tessar. Even covered in blood, he was handsome. And he was a fine warrior. She couldn't have imagined a more fitting trophy. She smiled at Tessar – partly affectionately, partly bloodthirstily – knelt down, and tightened her fingers around his throat. "Thank you, Ayn, for helping me defeat my enemies today," Jennifer whispered. "Thank you for guiding my hand and my shots, thank you for not allowing my enemies to overpower me and shame me in Your eyes. I dedicate this sacrifice to You, for he was a worthy warrior and preferred one of the weapons that is in Your favor – the bow. Amen (or whatever equivalent she might have for the last word)."
Where do we go? Where do we end up when we save the world?
Ah yes, Eledar won't make it to Randel in time. He not only spent his turn using the Battle Cry skill but also moved in the opposite direction from the wounded unit, and it's a long way to run to him.
I suggest finishing off the surrendered/paralyzed enemies. We shouldn't disable the barrier to avoid releasing a horde of enraged mages. I propose that after we've completed our tasks and finished off the guards, we bypass the remaining rooms on the upper level. After that, let Sarnissa (tank/bodyguard), Thailina (negotiator), and anyone else who wants to join, go down and inspect the cells. We can then choose the recruits we want. The remaining members of the squad can load the loot and guard the fortress, just in case.
Having dealt with the mariho and four infantrymen, a small squad descended into the dungeon of the "Sands of Time". Upon seeing the interior of the dungeon and the emaciated state of the prisoners, they quickly understood the purpose of this complex – the Ninsharr were draining magical and life energy from the sorcerers, storing it in blue-colored gems. All the prisoners on the first underground level were unconscious.
/I could make Marix submit. Such a character would be useful in subsequent operations.
And he has nothing to lose anyway. I'm sure that if he returns to his own, they will execute him.
Well, I'm not sure, but the chances are good. And that's if he surrenders to us; otherwise, we will be forced to execute him./
Dalia felt a bit uneasy when she saw what the Ninsharr were doing to the local prisoners. Nevertheless, she couldn't help but note that this was a more rational use of the prisoners than in many other countries. Inhumane, but certainly effective. - What are we going to do with them? Should we open the cells and disable the barrier before we leave?
I'll say it right away so as not to clutter the inventory unnecessarily: these rings are absolutely useless anywhere else; but if you want to keep them as a trophy, that's fine.
-Probably quite effective, but at the same time just as absurd and repulsive, - Sarnissa commented briefly on what she saw. -We are interested in the target in the third chamber on the sixth level.
-What will we do with them? Will we open the chambers and disable the barrier before leaving?
-Yes, if possible, this will allow us to cover our tracks more easily and, moreover, will raise fewer questions than if only one prisoner disappears.
Well, as I said, if it's possible to add the Mariho moment, and my companions don't object, I would do it. For this, I need the ring.
If I go down to the Dungeon with everyone, it's also better to have the ring.
And anyway, I want to take one. Maybe later, with Rosario's ability, I'll study it, try to learn a new spell... We'll see.
Jennifer equips herself with Tessa’s armor, arms herself with a spear (if it wasn’t already in the second slot), and begins to collect loot that she can either use effectively or that has some value.
