Another topic from the not-so-popular category of “conversations with myself,” in which I will (or maybe won’t) share my thoughts on certain issues. In other words, this topic is a continuation of these two posts: one, two. To be honest, it seems to me that I am somewhat slow when it comes to self-education, and I attribute this to problems with concentration and the fact that, for the most part, I have not purposefully studied anything for more than ten years (of course, not counting some minor things). That is, it is difficult without specific tasks. Well, what's the point in complaining about it? You need to try and experiment because, as you know, nothing can be achieved without effort, even if it's just an awareness of your potential or its complete absence. It is important to note that despite, obviously, terrible results, I find pleasure in the process itself. And also, one should remember that I shoot using a rather mediocre camera. In any case, today, despite still having some problems with my right hand, I couldn't resist and picked up a pencil. Judging by how I feel, I overworked it again. However, the monologue isn’t about that. This time, I tried to draw a pose different from the one that looks like “attention.” As a result, I got something far from what I had in mind. In addition, in my opinion: a) the head is too big; b) the neck is excessively high; c) the legs don't look much like legs; d) perhaps the torso is too large, but otherwise, I generally like the upper part of the body. e) the previous drawing looked nicer, despite the obvious presence of scoliosis. Other notes: a) fingers and feet remain the most problematic elements; b) it seems that I am slowly starting to understand the mechanics of drawing eyes; c) I figured out how to draw a skirt with folds; d) initially, this was supposed to be a character who would become my guide on this path, but since the facial features turned out completely different from what I planned, let this be her classmate, and I will create her later.

Eyes are perhaps one of the most challenging aspects to draw, especially when using a pencil; however, the overall impression of the drawing largely depends on them.

In my opinion, eyes are a simpler subject. But jokes about the inability to draw hands in the art community are *very* common.

Aretz, I don't want to disappoint you, but anime isn't a style, per se, but rather a term used to refer to Japanese animation. The drawing styles can vary quite a bit.

I don't really understand the different styles. Anyway, I meant the simplest one, which any beginner artist can master, unlike all the other styles.

Eyes, and in anime, are not the easiest thing to draw. But the nose and ears are even more complex.

- Overall, it's more ANATOMICALLY correct; the arms and legs have variations in thickness, which is good.
- The hands are definitely better; they have a shape.
- I like the torso.
- The face has an expression, which is very cool.
- And it's good that the pose is different.

The downsides: the upper body is clearly larger than the lower body; the pelvis is very small, which makes the anatomy more masculine. You should add highlights to the eyes; they will immediately come to life.

Overall, I failed to depict the intended character again, but that's okay, because there aren't five people in one school. Notes: a) The face and figure turned out a little better (although there are some doubts about the lower part). b) I made several mistakes with the hair right away (forehead line, ears, etc.), and overall, it didn't turn out as I wanted. In addition, I made this even worse by choosing a very unsuccessful color. c) Following Koshi's advice, I tried using orange and pink as skin tones. I doubt I did it correctly, and my feelings about the result are mixed: it looks questionable, but at least it no longer blends with the background, and the eyes stand out more. Regarding the eyes – they are definitely better now than in all previous attempts, although the unevenness doesn't save them. d) I noticed that when drawing eyes, eyebrows, or the collarbone, my curved lines tend to have the same slope, even though they should be opposite. I don't know what's wrong. Maybe I need to rotate the paper more.

Maybe the photo isn't great, but I think the body color is pretty good. And yes, the eyes really look good this time.

the red blouse and red hair blend together, and to me, it looks like she's transparent in the chest area.

I've created something terrifying with the hair again, and overall, it turned out even more gruesome than before, but at least I'm starting to understand how to make eyelashes.
