3. The tournament schedule will not change after registration closes during the tournament.
4. All tournament games count toward the HoMM3 HW Player Rating.
5. Players who are in the SoD Player Rating are invited to the tournament.
The host has the right to refuse registration to players without a rating, players recently registered on the site, as well as players who have had disqualifications for violating tournament deadlines in other tournaments on HeroesWorld.
6. In matches not played within the set deadline, technical results will be assigned.
7. Saves and password files for all matches must be kept until the end of the tournament and presented upon the first request of the hosts, judges, or any member of the AC. Forgetting or losing the password for a game may serve as grounds for assigning a technical loss in the match.

The judges' decision is made primarily based on the tournament rules. If the situation is not covered by the rules, the judges will rely on basic logic and gaming ethics.

Schedule

Rules.

1. Game version. The tournament uses game version SoD 3.2(4.0) + HD mod version 4.2 + HW_rulez 1.38 (if a newer version is released, this rule item is subject to change).
2. The tournament is conducted according to the rules of online games in Heroes 3.
3. Restarts total 2 days (111+111 or 112). After each subjective restart, players swap starting colors.
A restart of generations with identical towns is taken at the request of at least one opponent immediately after map generation (this is a technical restart at the request of any participant, no restart day is spent, no color swap occurs).
4. Starting town, hero, and bonus are random.
5. The right to choose the starting color in the first generation belongs to the player who wins the coin toss. The HW Rules "Flip a coin" option is used; the one who guesses the resulting number has the right to choose the starting color.
In BO3 games, the right to choose color passes to the other player for the second game; if a third game is necessary, a new coin toss is conducted.
6. The following templates are used in the tournament: Skirmish, 2sm2c, Balance (Size M, no Dungeon, monster strength - average, difficulty 200%, roads - slow/average).
For each stage in BO1 rounds, a template will be set according to the drawing.
In BO3 rounds - the template for the first game from the three available templates is chosen by the player who lost the coin toss for color choice; in the second game, the right to choose the template passes to the opponent, who selects a template from the two remaining templates; if a third game is necessary, it is played on the remaining template (note: the template is chosen first, after which the player selects the color for the first generation).
7. All games are played with a chess timer: 8-4-1.

Tournament format.

1. The tournament uses the Double Elimination system (loser in the upper bracket moves to the lower bracket, loser in the lower bracket leaves the tournament).
2. Early stages are BO1 matches; from the Quarterfinals of the upper bracket and the Quarterfinals of the lower bracket, matches are BO3.
3. The Grand Final of the tournament consists of BO3 series, where the winner of the upper bracket needs to win one series, and the winner of the lower bracket needs to win two series.

Deadlines.

1. Registration: May 1 - May 13.
2. Start of tournament games: May 14.
3. Round deadlines:
Upper Bracket:
Round of 64 - until 18.05

Good layout, horses in the fort, Caitlin with log and air. On the 2nd day, I completed the quest for 15 gorgons, Pandora's box for 10k gold, and built 4 Mage Guilds. On 131, the opponent surrendered upon seeing the army.
Thanks for the game!
1-1

Well, here it wasn't just a one-sided surrender; I simply had no options. A respawn the size of a postage stamp with an ore mine, a wood mine, and 1 pile of gold )))) on the third day I built a Mage Guild to break through the marks in the pass to the neighboring respawn. There were a couple more piles of gold and guards of 19 trolls and 19 genies blocking exits along the road and off-road in different directions. Absolutely nothing to build up with. I barely managed to get eyes in the fort ). In the end, I pushed through everywhere with mages, draining mana and army. I didn't gain any money or additional army anywhere. Moreover, I would break one set of blocks only to find others even larger behind them. When I saw the opponent on 127 with a decent army while I had nothing, I surrendered, although I could have surrendered quite confidently as early as 112.

Thanks for the game!

The deciding game turned out to be sweaty and full of tough decisions. The opponent takes 2 rests immediately (as happened in the previous game, where I rejoiced, but then he took 2 more in a row, after which I just got a GG from the start). I take rest number 1, pushing the opponent to the red color. And he drops a Rampart there that is quite top-tier for m200, with Ivor, and there's also a wealthy Nagash with intelligence visible. All of this is very unpleasant. On my end, I see a Tower on 111, which is probably the best option for m200, and a lot of money around. Realizing that after a rest I might just get a GG from the start like in the previous game, I play on without a shadow of a doubt, despite the opponent's perks. On 112, I take my home town. I bypass the candle because the other direction is first a swampy respawn, and second, it's guarded by Greige Marks. But the adjacent area behind the horde of Gobs is promising—there's more money there, +3 attack behind simple mummies, and a promising chest behind the horde of Gnolls. The unpleasant part is that no truly good heroes came up. I put Halon in the folder; at least he has 3 knowledge, another 2 are easily built in the Castle + boosters... Picadrillo and Halon run to the adjacent area. On 113, I take the sword and the chest. The chest has 5K exp, and together with the guards, it's already 7. Halon is given intelligence and tactics, which is nice. Picadrillo runs deeper; in the corner, there's another chest behind a pack of upgraded Dragonflies. Halon takes it on 116 with only golems and an archer at 70, and another 5K exp. Halon is already quite solid with expert air. In the center of the adjacent area, there is a passage to another zone behind 80 upgraded Marks. Neither Nagas nor even Mages were built due to a lack of resources. Picadrillo runs to the corner for money and sees the edge of boots behind Greige Lizards. Since the army consists of caps, I decide to run with the folder and take them down with bolts, retrained using the scholar from the main. Right there near the boots behind the lizards, there are also gloves!! At the end of the first, like a fluke, sacrificing 10 gremlins, I take the swamp as well. However, I don't rejoice for long over my 3 towns, as the opponent already shows 4 on the first!!! My imagination paints a frantic tempo, a bunch of skeletons for Nagash, plenty of money, and Ivor's combat stats are also unpleasant.
On the second, having 110 mana and bolts again around 300, I ponder: whether to hit the GO in the center, break through the Marks into another zone, or go to the swamp—there's a chest behind a horde of gnolls and an SP booster. I immediately dismiss the GO option because I'd have to spend mana there, after which I might be crushed while defenseless. In this sense, it's much more profitable for me to meet the opponent in the Castle, where he is not scary to me. I decide to go to the swamp first, then through the Marks. Meanwhile, the opponent was spotted in this teleport. But then he defeated Ivor. I ran with the folder to the swamp essentially for nothing, as there were 60 upgraded gnolls in the chest, and I only wanted the extra exp. I didn't bother building mages or nagas anymore because of resource troubles and money, and I had to do what was necessary—upgrade the golem. And I put up the third tower. I left resources for the fourth or for mages. I decided to place them situationally, spending all money for now on buying more army, especially since I recovered a Hydra dwelling in the swamp. I have no better plan, so I decide to break through the Marks, hoping that first, the opponent defeated Ivor there, meaning he's not concentrating in that direction, and second, he doesn't know about my boots and gloves and doesn't suspect that I can break in very far from the darkness. I place Picadrillo right under the Marks and the folder a bit further away. I'll break through on the third. On the other side of the portal, an opponent's Necropolis and a Conclave are visible nearby. Picadrillo could have run into the castle, but leaving the power on him would be suicide. The folder didn't reach the castle. Moreover, there is a shrine nearby where the opponent's mage is staying. Picadrillo checked the Conclave—not taken by Ivor 3-4!!! To be honest, I didn't expect that Ivor might not take the Conclave on the second week. In short, Picadrillo stayed overnight at the Conclave, and the folder backed off into the darkness so as to be able to reach both the castle and the Conclave without being reached himself. Chains are set in all directions; I can break back to my own castle if there's a breakthrough there, or to the opponent's. At the same time, I realize that if the opponent didn't take the Conclave, then things aren't quite so perfect there, and I start feeling more confident. On the opponent's turn, I observe him breaking his GO made of Greige Wives and then the quest shield of gnolls behind a horde of upgraded wolves. Then I just start running into the castles. With momentum on the gargoyle, I'm running almost every 3K, while the opponent goes deeper into the center sands—he's clearly running to the treasure. At first, I'm scared that he could mass Vivi there, but then I realize that Ivor is far from being a speedster, judging by what I see. And he clearly won't have enough time for any serious achievements. At the same time, on every turn, I leave chains so that I can break back home if he goes my way through the GO. And I can put up the 4th level on any turn, but I'm skipping it for now, as every turn I buy either golems, caps, or a hydra... By the way, Ivor shows 4 Bears, 30 Grands, and a cover. No horses... My 2 hydras, 225 caps, and 2 dozen golems look normal against this backdrop, supported by bolts, which, judging by Ivor's magic stats, he doesn't have many of. I also have mass haste. I take all the castles by 133, and on the next turn, the opponent capitulates.
The autopsy showed that Ivor was given earth, but wasn't given oil in the guild. But the LOL is that there was a place to learn it under the main, and the opponent, to my happiness, didn't check. Had the opponent taken the max Conclave without losses, he would undoubtedly have given me a GG.

Thanks for the game!

Thanks for the game!
Very poor gold income. On the very first day, I illuminated all the roads.
Then I took a Dungeon village and a Necropolis town. But the free passage further was blocked by mages guarding a quest artifact .
I defeated Ivor, taking 5k experience, and since I got land and the opponent's mages weren't visible, I decided to crush him. On the 2nd week, I went to the center, bypassing the blockade; along the way, I saw a hidden spot with bears. But in the end, the map glitched, and the only way to get to the desert was through a GO with 20+ griffins . Because of this, I lost a lot of time. And when the opponent arrived with boots + gauntlets and 9 spells, it became clear. :smile15:
Thanks for the game.

I only had one road leading to the 12,500 block, and after finding a teleport gate with 3,000 block, I found myself deep in the snow and blocked by many basilisks. I didn't find much wood, so I barely managed to build levels 1-2-3-5 and a citadel. Grindan developed very well, focusing on air magic and logistics. I went into my opponent's treasure first and picked up the +1 power, arena, and most of the money. In week 2, I built a capital and behemoths. In week 3, I found Alamar in the tavern, so I developed him and taught Resu to Grindan. I retreated a lot, so I didn't have much money for ancient behemoths, but I managed a full buyout with everything else upgraded. FB at 137, where in 2 rounds with mass haste, I killed everything except the iron golems, then came the surprise of Armageddon
On my side, only the orcs survived, and with resurrect, I managed to stay alive and force my opponent to retreat. After this, I built a level 3 guild in the hope of getting anti-magic, and I got it, so Solmyr couldn't damage my birds. I didn't know that my opponent didn't have enough money to rebuy Nimbus 137, so I was playing it safe and didn't move into the snow territory to avoid him hitting me with Armageddon. In month 2, I gathered enough troops to rush safely. 1-0
Thank you for the game.

The map was average, but I got Moon, so I didn't use a restart. I beat the gold mine block and packed minotaur kings on the road, then proceeded to scout the road further the next day, not knowing the opponent was there and that I was supposed to beat the misplaced guard first. Anyway, I didn't save before the situation to ask a judge, so it's my fault that I got a tech loss. 1-1
Thanks for the game.

I was fortunate with my hero and town, even with the map layout; I had 4 roads and some +1 power bonuses. I didn't get either Arrow or Lightning from the Conflux, only Ice Bolt. I suspected an early week 2 meeting, and after beating the Medusae and Pit Lords on the Monolith, I found my opponent 5 tiles from there. With ~80-90 mana and 8 power, versus no spellbook, I managed to win, even against a massive army. 2-1
Thank you for the game!

I was forced to take 112 with tower and 1 cons because opp got solmyr, then he used all restarts too and I ended up with inferno and poor map.At 121 I broke to grass zone off road instead of gold mine,to quickly cover some ground and I hoped to find some good boxes / artifacts / money. At 122 took lots basilisk box that gave 45 harpies and I broke guard to opp's necro zone, where he left 17 grands on scout, and main with 1 pegasi. This was my Ace-Ace card to win, because Erdamon just reached his necro town and I had money to buy 2 more heroes. He didnt have money to surrender grands and was forced to fight FB without them, which made a big difference.

After 1 restart from opp, ended up with 3 native heroes and alamar, road was pretty long though, but it spread out later.Week 1 took 2 boxes in secondary area, both gave 5k xp, main got fire 2 times, the second time I had to take it. I had curse scroll, and opp's treasure had an angel dwelling guarded by horde serpent flies, also guard to this zone was horde water elementals. With expert curse these battles were doable,so my plan was full buyout 121 and lvl2 guild in fortress to get ice bolt.Unfortunately I couldnt get enough money to buy everything, only trogs minos and most of the beholders.Meanwhile opp also broke to this zone 121, but also suicided vs horde obsidians without mass slow.I saw this with observatory.A few days later we meet in his secondary zone and I kill grindan with death ripple. 2-0
With that,I thank skd for great organization of this tournament, he was very helpful whenever I asked for advice regarding games. Keep up the good work :smile20:
Congratulations God for 2nd place, you were hard opponent to beat. I needed some luck too. :)
