It would be interesting to know the public's opinion about the new Windows.

I haven't seen it, but I don't really want to. I'm used to Windows XP, so XP it is :cool:

Vista was another operating system that required significant hardware upgrades... All new versions of Windows were initially met with complaints, but people eventually switched to them... So, Windows XP is already nearing the end of its lifespan...

P.S. An option "Haven't seen it yet" has been added to the poll for those who haven't yet tried the new version of Windows.

Nooo... I had my Millennium installed for a very long time...

Saw it once... That was enough. Minimal improvements, a buggy system, and essentially no real changes. They tweaked the interface a bit, but you can achieve the same effect by installing some kind of Windows XP customization program, and there are plenty of those available. Overall, a complete disappointment, especially after seeing KDE in Linux. Microsoft is trying to make as much money as possible while putting in minimal effort. It will make sense to buy Vista in about six months, when the service packs and drivers are released.

What do you think about this? Hmm... I'll see and then decide! (However, the system requirements already make me uneasy. The operating system should be an assistant, not a resource hog like a professional virus.)

Vista consumes a lot of resources; it immediately uses 400 MB of RAM (even with a clean system and without its 3D features). I haven't thoroughly tested its performance yet, but its 64-bit system means you can install XP 64-bit (although it's in English) and reduce the load on your hardware. Perhaps they've improved security and performance, but it's not immediately apparent. In my opinion, they've simply tweaked the system by adding unnecessary features (IMHO).

I don't know, but personally, about 1.5 years ago, I saw it for the first time, and I didn't really like it then... but now it's actually the future, and we can't avoid it... it's constantly being updated and improved.

Vista currently has one strong argument – Halo 2. We are waiting for updates. Alan is right, it is inevitable, just like all the previous installments in the series.

Hmm, I think more people are familiar with Vista now, so their opinion about it might have changed.
