I went to see **Terminator: Genisys**. I liked that they tried to combine and merge the plots of the first and second films into one cohesive story, adding adventures in our (our = modern) time, spiced up with alternative timelines, decent humor from the aging Schwarzenegger trying to portray human emotions, a huge number of shootouts and battles with killer robots of all models, and overall, the cast is very, very good. The ending, however, was a letdown. **7/10**

Kingsman: The Secret Service
In short, the dark humor reaches a new level. I quite liked the movie and would give it a 7.5/10.

Today I watched the movie **Pride**, released in 2014. The film tells the story of how the LGBTQ+ community supported the miners' strike in the UK in 1984-1985. The film has an excellent soundtrack (I suspect that all the performers there are home-front workers; Queen is definitely among them), beautiful cinematography, good humor, and a solid plot. I would also like to note that the film was shot on a low budget, typical of independent cinema, but all the elements still look quite good. The plot develops as it should, the jokes and music create a light and pleasant atmosphere; overall, this is a film that is enjoyable to watch. **7/10**

"The Scent of Heather". A decent comedy, although a bit strange. But that seems to be our post-Soviet style – making somewhat odd films. Overall, it's pleasant and heartwarming, though nothing extraordinary.

Finally got around to watching "The Martian."
The script, actors, and dialogue are very good.
The 3D Martian landscapes are excellent! The Martian storm at the beginning of the film is very well shot.
It's not drawn out, and it's easy to watch. There's a lot of humor, and the audience was laughing almost the whole time (although the situation isn't exactly the most cheerful).
I'm impressed. I recommend it to fans of science fiction. I hope the translation doesn't ruin it.

Watched "Everest." No one really told me that this movie is based on real events. I've read a lot of stories. And now, I "saw" what it was like. All that was missing was a shaky camera in the hands of the director, who is also an alpinist. The main characters aren't exactly heroes; they're just people, but there were two moments that really got to me. I give it a 9 out of 10 for the story.

It was also there, of course. It feels like they just don't have anything left to extract from this hot story. The Terminator is no longer the same. But you can't take away his "I'll be back."

It's perfect! With my favorite guy, Colin Firth! It deserves a 10, no less

As for me, it's a mediocre film. There are some good jokes (like the one with McDonald's), a couple of charming characters (Gazelle, Valentine, and Merlin), and some visually appealing moments, but... overall, it doesn't impress. The main character is as generic as possible (this applies to the entire plot, by the way). And it would be okay if he compensated for this with some charisma, but no – he has none. The mentor is more or less tolerable, but he doesn't stand out either. The "rival" of the main character's existence is unclear, considering how poorly she was implemented. They could have made her a decent character who would provide worthy competition to the protagonist, but instead, they created a character who wouldn't have passed the test without the protagonist's help, only surpassed him thanks to a highly questionable test (and failing it would have been the right outcome!), and had virtually no impact on the plot.
The touching and tense moments in the film are also weak. Seriously, did anyone care about the child in that scene near the end? Personally, I highly doubt it. In short, this is a film you watch once, and only for Valentine and Gazelle.

This is what bothered me about the "rival," yes, I agree. Otherwise, she's a pretty normal character. Not "super," of course, but just a good girl, a pretty normal character overall.
Regarding the test, I didn't like the way it was formulated. Why is toughness tested specifically by killing an animal? And what do you think of the logic: "The dog is my best friend and companion in all trials, but you, man, are completely unknown, maybe even an enemy spy, since you're making me do this? So I'll shoot you, or at least knock you out with the butt of the rifle, and then I'll figure it out..." Isn't that also toughness? ) Besides, it turned out that it was perfectly acceptable to shoot the man... My logic works!
As for how the good girl handled the test... Well, there's a version that she figured out that the bullets were blanks. Fortunately, she's so smart and good, so she could have. Well, if not, then you can only marvel at what sometimes lurks in quiet waters. That's the way it is.

The child is just unnecessary fluff. Harry is the one you really feel sorry for. And didn't he seem charming to you? I think that's the best part.
The villains are charismatic as always. Gazelle is stunning. Her manners. Her manners. Everyone is wearing a tie. Everyone is wearing a suit. That was good.
Exi didn't appeal to me. Nothing about him stood out.

And the scene in the church could be made into a short film... haha. I went back to it a couple of times while watching the movie on my laptop.

He has his good moments, but overall he's an average character. And according to the genre's conventions, he was supposed to die. I felt much more sorry for Gazelle. x)

Justin and the Knights of Valor – it’s okay if you have nothing else to watch. Although, there are a lot of clichés. 6/10
The Last Samurai – quite good, although I have some complaints about the ending. 8.5/10
