After the movie ended, people started applauding.

It's amazing how high the level of culture is in your city :)

Is this irony, or what? I watched "2012" and for some reason, I didn't like it very much. Although I do enjoy disaster movies.

watched "Barefoot on the Pavement"
I liked it.

Here are a few movies I watched recently: The Taking of Pelham 123, Gamer, RocknRolla, Crows Zero, Crows Zero II, Avatar, Sukiyaki Western Django. These are just the ones that left a positive impression.

Just got back from the cinema, we watched Avatar (in 3D). The film is interesting and has a meaning (I found it for myself), and I liked it overall. The idea itself is good, of course, to be able to inhabit other bodies, especially if your own is limited, and a trapped soul cannot express itself and yearns for something else... oh, if only that were real, and there was a world you would want to live in... Okay, there's a lot to write about the film, and there's plenty of material. P.S. The moment when that large alien embraced the human body of her beloved touched me, and I also liked the ending.

I watched "Knowing" with Nicolas Cage. It left a heavy impression – with its depressing and hopeless atmosphere. Apparently, humanity's last hope lies in these semi-alien, semi-archangel beings who, for some reason known only to them, chose people (children?) exclusively from the United States. Oh, and there are also rabbits (well, I'm not worried about them; they'll populate any new planet). It's unclear and illogical. And also: Nicolas Cage should admit that he's starting to go bald and stop trying to grow those sparse strands at the back of his head.

I liked how the guys from MIT conducted the cryptanalysis in this movie.

I actually liked how the guys from MIT did the cryptanalysis in this movie.

I don't really understand what you're talking about. As far as I remember, the main character was just manually circling numbers, and that was it for the cryptanalysis.
And the last scenes of the movie just blew me away – children are running through some kind of mutating field of something (grains? sprouts? tentacles?) towards a single tree. Yes, that's paradise.

I think you just don't know how to enjoy American movies:rolleyes:
The film is decent, and Cage is not famous for his hair.

I know how to enjoy good movies. In the post above, I explained clearly why I don't consider the movie "The Knowing" to be one. ))

"Omen" is generally good, but it didn't quite deliver. :) Aliens who can see the future? :smile04: Besides, the "burning" looks extremely unrealistic. At least because the speed of solar flares should be much faster.

Watched Avatar for the second time – it’s still awesome! ))
This time, the audience decided to applaud, and then loudly shout the movie title on their way out of the theater.

I also watched Avatar, which you could probably guess from my avatar :smile43:

The film really resonated with me... *nervously swallows* Jake's interpretation was very close to the mark. I liked the moment when Neytiri took his human body in her arms... But overall, I felt the film more as a love story... Although the graphics and exciting moments are also a big plus! (I'm still barely holding back my emotions, I just want to shout)
Also, what particularly caught my interest was that the film started as science fiction and ended up completely in fantasy, i.e., there was a rejection of the scientific understanding of the world and a return to the archetypes of human consciousness, feelings, and unity with nature... sometimes that's exactly what we, as humans, lack! I learned a lot from it. Thank you.

P.S. I didn't cry... although maybe I wanted to at some moments. Sorry for the short comment...
The film is very good, you should definitely watch it!
10/10

Guys, does anyone want to draw portraits of the Na'vi? I might try ^^

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

Watched it on the plane. I liked it very much – I couldn't take my eyes off it. It's something different from a typical movie, a kind of small discovery, reflections on the theme of "What if...".

Watched "Law Abiding Citizen." I liked it; both the idea and the content were good. It's not a masterpiece, but it's still enjoyable. Also watched "Surrogates." I liked the idea and the content, but I didn't like the rushed and uninteresting plot. That's how it is.
